An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:

Fixed a crash caused by using -dxlevel commands
Fixed some ABI compatibility regressions for server plugins/mods
Fixed a crash under 64-bit caused by some custom HUDs using Half-Life 2 HUD elements which assume the player is Gordon Freeman
Fixed a crash when opening options/going into game (mostly affecting Windows 7 users)
Fixed the snd_cull_duplicates command not working
Fixed a hang when importing cosmetics into the Workshop tools to upload
Fixed an issue selecting surround sound audio settings (Headphones, 4, 5.1, 7.1, etc.)

Used to play occasionally a few years back, thinking about returning. I know that bots are an often brought up issue, but I don't know to what extent. Which game modes are dead, if any? Is it worth trying to come back?

why do people say "update" when they mean "add new weapons"?

this really confuses me because there are people constantly screaming and shouting about how tf2 doesn't get updates despite the fact it does. new maps, new cosmetics, new gamemodes (thanks to talented mappers and vscript) and now 64bit being added to the game, it's not like tf2 is being ignored. massive game breaking glitches like the recent objector exploit (you could crash peoples game) usually get fixed rather swiftly. my only conclusion is that when people ask valve to update the game, what they'r...
