I got this game on gog and i tried making it for for an hour looking online and trying everything. Nothing worked and I refunded. Is Steam version any different from gog? is it worth trying?

I'm trying to disable the shocked floors infront of the main storage cache, and i managed to get lucky enough to disable the force fields but not the floor. I have a very low science skill, so i've been using my only 6 luck to try and brute force the 2nd password, but no such luck. What other ways do I have to try and get into the storage area? I see a door connected to a repair bay, but the door to that is locked and I haven't been able to get into it with an electronic lock picker. To be fair, my lockpic...
