Decent amount of jump scares, but a little bit slow in story pacing and somewhat predictable. I'm a bit sad that we couldn't pet the dog :<

This is my comprehensivew review for Terrors to unveil: Day off. I would recommend this, parttly because I coudln't play at first due to an issue with my settings, and the developer actually got back to me when I asked for help and helped me resolve the issue, which was really nice of him.

Now onto the gameplay. This is a story driven game, split into two main parts. (Warning: Spoilers Ahead) The game opens up with you in your house at night, having awoken from a nightmare. You go downstairs to get water, see a glitching TV, and go back to sleep. The next morning, you must make breakfast for yourself, get ready for work, and eat some ice cream. This section was overall not that bad, but a lot of stuff wasn't really that interactable. (I.E Click on fridge to get ice cream.) You play a quick zombie video game minigame. (I also noticed that after you play this, you can actually see the zombie game map from your garden, floating in the sky, which was funny.) You then head to work at a pizza resturant and play a "Resturant chef minigame" after which you head back home.

In this resturant section, theres a phone cutscene with your boss that I felt wasn't that well done and broke immersion a little, but I still enjoyed the rest of that section.

Back home you get jumpscared by your younger brother, and then must pack for the trip you are taking in the morning. After this, you go to sleep, watch another cutscene. (Which actually surprised me by being fully animated, but maybe could have done a bit better with the dialogue.)

You are now at a forest in the winter, and go into your cabin to make food. You then get jumpscared by someone named luke, who turns out to be a friendly NPC. After this, you find a dead animal in a cage, and have to walk around to the forest(This also felt a bit rushed.)

You recive a walkie talkie from Luke, and then, the game totally threw me in for a loop by switching the POV to the younger brother, you was still in the house from the start. (This was one of my favorite parts.)

After a short sequence, you switch back to the original main character, and shortly after get chased by the bad guy(Who has a very mild jumpscare by the way, so don't be that scared.) Before being saved.

All in all, an enjoyable experience, but some parts could have been a bit better. The main thing I would recommend for the next episode is upping the graphics and animations, and fixing some issues with the pacing. Worth the Price.

Never taking a day off after playing this game again! Lol. Loving the episodes so far, keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next one. - full gameplay below.
