Best 2k in years, made unplayable through crashes.
4k PC with 940 download that plays everything, this game crashes constantly, mostly in career, unfortunately unplayable.

Since the last NBA 2K26 update (v1.4 on Sept 18, 2025), the game has started stuttering badly on my PC, even though I’m running an i7-14700KF, RTX 4070, and 64GB RAM. FPS looks stable, but offline modes like Play Now and MyNBA feel really choppy. Oddly, if I swap to an older modded exe, the game runs perfectly smooth. Online with the official exe also feels smoother, so it seems like the new patch broke offline frame pacing or presentation. I’ve tried everything — shader cache reset, reinstall, file verify, clean drivers — nothing fixes it. Looks like this started only with the latest update. Anyone else seeing this?

If you wanna buy the game and casually play when you have free time after work or on weekend, don't bother buying it, just find an other way to entertain yourself because NBA2K26 has become totally hardcore.

First of all you should spend time to learn how to green ALL of your shoots because otherwise you are gonna brick them 100%

then you should spend time to learn timing layups and green them, which trust me it's even more difficult than shooting, otherwise you are gonna miss all your layups.
And when you finally after 85 hours reach a point that the game is starting to be playable, they patch the whole thing and you must start all over again.

And all that because the hardcore community push the devs to make the game harder and harder because of "skill gap".

Well that was the last NBA2K for me. I will come back when they finally separate all the modes from online gaming.

Games are meant to be fun and relaxing this thing is only frustrating.
