I will keep this short - as short as the game was.
I completed "The Run" in 114 minutes, during which I've died three time. Furthermore, I want to note that during these 114 minutes I paused the game to make myself some coffee, and play a bit with my dog.
What I was expecting from the story was a good old-fashioned murder mystery (horror) - like in a slashed movie I could say.
What I got in the end was a far-fetched ending. The kind I do not like. To not give away the ending I experienced, I will not elaborate on the matter.
The acting was not bad. I can't comment on the music because I do not like music during gameplay. I find it distracting and repetitive.
Like I said, the ending was just bland and disappointing. There was, for me, no sense of urgency or dread. No disappointment because the story was finished, and I wanted more of it! There was just ... nothing. It's repetitive because it's just a lot of running and the action scenes are just underwhelming ... really dull. So much so that I will not play this game again, any time soon. Therefore, it does not have replay value for me.

The Run is a genuinely fun and engaging FMV thriller that surprised me more than I expected. What starts off feeling like a fairly straightforward survival story slowly builds tension in smart ways, and the final twist completely caught me off guard. I thought I had it figured out, I didn’t.

Gameplay wise, theres not much here but the branching storylines keep it interesting. There’s a ton of replayability if you’re trying to unlock every death and ending. It’s one of those games that’s fun to replay just to see how drastically different things can go.

It executes the formula well, and the twist elevates it beyond just another “run for your life” story.

If you enjoy interactive thrillers like Bandersnatch or choice-based horror games, this is absolutely worth a playthrough especially if you like chasing multiple endings.

It's fun. I think the film/game is fun over all. Not so much in gameplay obviously, but it's a fun flick.

But- I do think the film's a bit too random. There aren't really any kind of hints to Choice A will be DEATH and Choice B being SURVIVAL. Or was I just not paying close enough attention? Very B-Movie, but I think, a very well done B-Movie. It's not a masterpiece, but by indie standards, I'd give it 8/10 just for being a very fun movie. It's decently paced, it's thrilling at times (if you happen to not pick every choice that ends up killing you), music is good, set design is good, acting is good, and I think the writing is decent.

Again, biggest detriment to this film was perhaps it's inclusion of choices. In the ending I got, it seemed like there were X number (not to spoil the amount) choices that gave me that specific ending, but what about choice Y? Why didn't choice G matter? Wait, then why did choice L kill me? Clues, sure. But still, there's a few choices that are really just 50/50.

Plus the lack of a "Skip Seen Scenes" does kind of sour the experience, especially on repeated deaths/"speedruns".

Also, Roxanne McKee is awesome.
