Tactical Enhancements & Combat Improvements

Greetings, Commanders!

I'm excited to share the latest update for Dynasty Protocol, packed with features and improvements based on your feedback!

What's New:

The star of this update is the Tactical View Mode - press Z (customizable in settings) to get a strategic overview of the battlefield. This new view mode gives you the commander's perspective you've been asking for.

Station modules now come alive with new visual effects, making your stations feel more dynamic and immersive. I've also added a Toggle UI feature for those moments when you want to appreciate the beauty of space without interface elements.

For new players, the Tutorial Follow Indicator makes learning the ropes much easier, while the Control Scheme documentation ensures everyone understands the game's controls clearly.

Combat & Operations:

I've significantly improved the auto-combat system for player ships and enhanced enemy AI behaviors to create more challenging and engaging battles. The undocking process has been refined for better control, and the auto-docking system now works more smoothly than ever.

Manual movement during Auto Combat mode has been improved, giving you better control when you need it. AI attack delays have been reduced, making battles more dynamic and responsive.

Thank you for downloading and playing the Dynasty Protocol demo! Based on community feedback, here are some important tips to help you get the most out of your demo experience:

Game Speed Settings: The demo experience varies significantly based on your chosen game speed:

Normal Speed: Combat begins later in the session, allowing more time for resource gathering and fleet building
Fastest Speed: Combat typically starts within 20-25 minutes, providing quicker access to battles and tactical gameplay

I recommend trying the fastest speed setting if you want to experience combat sooner.

Demo Limitations: Please note that certain features are restricted in the demo version:

Dark Matter production is disabled - This advanced resource system is exclusive to the full version
Limited ship types and technologies - The demo focuses on core mechanics and basic fleet combat
Simplified economy - Full resource management and trading systems are available in the complete game

Feedback from short 30 min play through

Just some quickfire feedback from my play session. Good - Graphics look great - Art style is on theme and the ship designs look cool - Atmosphere fits and I like the more "realistic" aesthetic Needs Improvement - Controls are sluggish - No drag to select units - No unit group that I could find - Camera movement is really slow and cumbersome (is there a way to speed this up?) - Selecting units is cumbersome (see above points) and it's difficult to select multiple units - No easy way to see the area...

The pros and cons from 10 mins play

The most important aspect that effects is the game optimization, my laptop is i7 core and with 1.3Ghz cpu, i think it is not that bad as i also play rts games on my pc. But for this game, there is definitely hard for me to continue, as my pc can barely run this game(by the way my first run without any data is not responding), basically by pc starts to cry when i just enter the game, really not sure if the cpu can survive when there is a fleet is being build in the game. the good: 1; The graphics, the 3d mo...

very bad designed UI, base build and ressource system

A player should not be bothered with bad UI I played a lot of RTS and this one simply isn't good. So you have to buy first some buildings and than you can play, it takes time. skip it. just skip those, its bad, nobody is going to wait this long, unlock them from start onto be functional also minable resources need to be visible, like different colour or put big green /yellow shards into the stones, And the resource unit should know what it has to do, like in C&Cs from over 30 years ago.
