You ever wanna raise a virtual fish tank, all the while fighting off aliens and managing an economy? No? Well now you do because this is the best game ever created.
If EA ever discovers people still play this and they add micro-transactions I am going to cry.

I think I'm in the same boat everyone is in here that picked this up remembering they played it in their childhood. I remember asking my dad if I could use his computer to play it; I'd play constantly. Of course little me never beat the game, but I sure had a darn fun time playing it.

Now that I returned to replay this, I can say it is still as good as I remembered it. The silly music and graphics really brought me back. The game is so simple yet you can really get so much out of it. Especially for what a steal of a price you can get this game at.

That wave of nostalgia really hit me hard when I beat Adventure mode. I set out a goal to get the 4 mystery pets that are locked, and I thought that would be the end of the game. I actually never knew about the silver/gold trophies so I really went hard to get them-- scrounging around anywhere I could for guides for the challenge tanks since I got stuck especially on Tank 3. I found a nice groove for all 4 tanks, and I eventually got the coveted gold trophy. Not without probably speed running carpal tunnel lol.

Now comes the empty feeling you get after a good movie lol. I think, though, there are still some things to do after getting the trophies if you were only speeding through to get it. There's the virtual tank (which is a great sort of side vpet to have and play around with when you are not busy on your computer). Plus there is time trials mode which I have yet to really sink my teeth in.

All in all, Insaniquarium should 100% be in your library. It's just the same as you played it when you were a kid.

If you are a new player to it, I think you would really enjoy it. It is simple and to the point-- raise the fish and shoot the aliens. It is a very addictive game once you get started.
