Love this game, but I can't recommend it until they fix crashes and all the other bugs. And to all the people that say you can fix it yourself or that it's normal for an old game to crash and have bugs - no. The whole point of buying re-released version is to run it on Win 10/11 without any problems.

PATCH#01 (04.02.25) - The game is more stable, few things have been adressed, so if they're gonna release more patches it should be playable!

I have refunded the game after 2 hours of trying to play, as in those 2 hours the game crashed 5 times. I get that it's an old game and bugs will happen, but the whole point of a reralease is to make it playable on newer computers. As it stands it's a buggy mess and I wouldn't recommend anyone pay for this as it stands.

honestly, shame on me for actually hoping the game is optimized for the newer PCs and getting excited about this release.

I didn't know you can release a 20 year old game worse than it was before.

the constant crashes, directX error, 800x600 resolution at the start (and yes, I've set up the rules in the graphic rules file), you name it, I've got it.

the game launches each time like it's the first time I ever launch it - the saved game is there but CC checkbox is unchecked, the graphic settings are back to lowest default possible and the tips are popping up which is very annoying.

besides that, the quality of the voices is really bad, the sims sound super compressed.

what else? oh yes, the bugs like disappearing food after cooking, the sim resetting every time they try to sit at the table, the broken alien abduction when the sim just walks away and nothing happens, the graphic settings just unset autimatically right after setting them... the list is effing huge.

waste of money, stick to the ultimate collection if you got it from EA App.
I haven't got one so I HOPED this would be a nice trip down the memory lane. EA, right
