While potentially lacking in content compared to balatro, there is enough here to entertain for easily 20 hours, and it feels very similar to balatro. Ontop of that the dev is very commited, fixing the bug i found and releasing the patch to fix it, and to change an unbalanced system within minutes. Cannot reccomend enough, as the game seems like it will keep growing and getting support and content

Ringer Review – A Clever Twist on Marbles and Deckbuilding

If Balatro got you hooked but you want something that requires more skill than just the luck of the draw, Ringer is your game. It takes the simple joy of shooting marbles and cranks up the strategy, blending it with roguelike deckbuilding in a way that feels fresh and addictive.

The real depth comes from how you play your marbles. It’s not just about which ones you buy—it’s about how you use them. Do you go full offense, knocking opponents out of the ring? Play defensively and protect your high-scorers? Or build a unique synergy that stacks effects for massive scores? The choices feel nearly endless, and every run plays out differently.

That said, it’s pretty clear this is still early days—it feels more like an early access game than a fully fleshed-out release. There’s tons of potential with new marbles, balance tweaks, and a few UI improvements. But even in its current state, it’s ridiculously fun.

I told myself “just one more game before bed” about 30 times… so yeah, it’s got that magic.
