Balance Changes

“Heavy Blow / Heavy Blow+” Attack: 0 → 20
“Heavy Blow+” bonus effect activation requirement: Attack 40+ → 50+
When “Heavy Blow+” bonus effect triggers: Extra attacks +2 → +1
“Immortal Flower+” cards required to trigger bonus effect: 5 → 3
“Eternal Loyalty” Attack: 20 → 30
“Electric Discharge / Electric Discharge+” Attack: 6 → 15
“Intuition+” effect: +5 → +6
“Dew Sharpening” effect: +6 → +10
“Dew Sharpening+” effect: +10 → +15

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where returning “PPP+” to the deck did not deal damage to D-rex’s shield.
Fixed an issue where using “Homeward Bound” destroyed fragile cards other than the ones intended.

Bug Fix

Added the version number to the title screen.
Fixed an issue where using “Homeward Bound” did not show the destruction warning for Fragile.
Fixed the animation when using “Laevatein” with “Homeward Bound.”
Fixed an issue where the stage skip setting persisted after starting a new game.
Fixed an issue with hand sorting.
Fixed an issue where enemy ability counters progressed due to skills.
Fixed an issue where ambient sound did not play for some bosses.
Fixed an issue where elapsed time was being counted twice for some bosses.
Corrected the flavor text for some bosses.

Bug Fixes

Adjusted so Laevatein’s visual effect no longer overlaps with enemy abilities.
Fixed a bug where the game could freeze because the finish animation wouldn’t play.
Fixed an issue with the deck size limit during battles.
Addressed a crash that could occur when BGM starts playing (we’re still investigating).

- Play 50 cards - Use 5 Procyon Device -> must be in same turn without using revive? and can it be Procyon Device+?

Well this was freaking incredible.

Everything from the core combat system, to the separation of the deckbuilding and roguelike aspects, to the great world building and music, all the way to just an overall cornucopia of excellent ideas, and all extremely well executed. If I have to give one complaint, it's simply that I want more. I definitely can't whine too much about getting 5 hours out of an $8 game though, with plenty of room to build new decks and experiment to my heart's content.

The year is young, but this is easily my running GotY. Strong 9.5/10.

I wish the game was a bit longer or made me change my deck around in some way or something. My strategy as the game elapsed hardly changed, and I didn't really need to experiment very much to find a working strategy. I think that is a shame because there were a lot of cards I hardly or straight up did not use, and there are probably some cool interactions in them.

Overall, I think that the gameplay loop was well-executed. Each enemy serves a purpose, as they are something your deck has to be able to deal with. The way that card costs worked was pretty interesting, not sure if that's been done anywhere else but it is a really cool idea.

For the game length, the story was good. As an English player, the localization was good especially for an indie title, which definitely helps.

The game is definitely more than what you would expect for a deck builder game. The way how the card cost works is also very interesting. Instead of using stored energy system, it uses the amount of cards in your deck as a way to pay the card cost. it creates an interesting challenge between balancing the card cost of your cards in your hand, balancing of drawing or return cards to the deck, and many more.

The boss gimmicks are very creative and pose an interesting challenge or a puzzle to solve. Each boss of the game really tests your deck to its limits, and the run is short enough that you can quickly see the flaws of your deck and your misplays. A deck may be strong against one boss, but can be weaker to another, and the randomness of cards and boss gimmicks prevents you from doing the same strategy over and over, requiring you to adapt to the situation and maybe even do a different strategy in the same deck.

I usually don't really like deck builder games, but this one has been very fun for me.

Getting A Discard Deck to Work

Has anyone been able to get a Discard Deck to work, especially for the later fights? I was thinking you buff Reckless Assault and then discard the two other copies to make it hit for a truck, or just buff the Kunai card and use Savage Claws (or whatever it's called) but these never seem to work. Would love to hear what others did. :3...

Game doesn't launch

Having issues getting the game to even start. I get a 1MB executable running in the process list that kills itself with no error message every time I try to start the game. Reinstalling worked the first time I got the game to launch, but now I can't get the game to launch no matter what I do....
