New Particle Effects
In this update we’ve introduced 3 new particle effects to enhance the gameplay experience:
• Attack Stun (a halo of stars for players hit by an attack of over 50% charge, doesn’t play if the player is blocking)
• Blocking (radiating shockwaves)
• Ground Impact (a combination of dust and smoke which appear at a character’s feet when they land on a surface)

• Implemented the ability to cycle through Map & Game mode options in the lobby settings
• Visual control input icons will now switch to reflect the current input device being used (Keyboard or Gamepad)
• Updated control input icons using third party asset [credit given in game credits]
• Added a development disclaimer note to the bottom of the game's display
• Keybinds are now loaded from either save game data or default (feature will be utilised in the next update)
• Updated the control keybinds sub-section of the game settings (re-keybinding will be coming in the game’s next update)
• Updated game credits

• Moving Platforms in 'Training Grounds' map work again
• Fixed an issue that had allowed players to attack before the initial game start countdown timer had finished
• Fixed an issue that (for clients on specific maps) had caused the game’s intro camera sequence to not play correctly
• The 'Add Online Player' button prompt will no longer appear in the admin mode of a local (offline) lobby
• Additional lobby button prompts will now correctly disappear when in admin mode, in a local (offline) lobby
• Fixed an issue that had prevented players from using mouse button inputs for attack/block in game

AI Opponents (WIP)
We’re thrilled to be introducing AI opponents to Battle Mountain, Currently Work in Progress (WIP). With this new feature you can further populate your online lobbies when playing with friends & family, as well as now being able to play solo games against AI.

• Implemented attack charge particle effect, which increases in intensity to indicate the player’s level of attack charge in a form of diegetic UI.
• Respawn platforms have been moved closer together, to prevent respawn clipping with the environment.
• Implemented a session search indicator for when no multiplayer sessions are found.

• Visual improvements and background desaturation of the ‘Training Grounds’ map.

• Fixed an issue that caused the block charge to not disengage when a player respawns.
• Fixed an issue that caused the overhead player indicator positions to glitch if a player left mid-game.
• Fixed an issue that occasionally caused some player lives indicators to appear as ‘0’ at the start of a game.
• Fixed an issue that caused clients to not be transitioned to the podium platform if the game ended due to every player running out of respawns.
