worth it? why so many negative reviews

this dev made TMNT shredders revenge arguably equal or superior to classic TMTN beat em ups. So why such a great dev released a double dragon trilogy with ... what's wrong? game is dirt cheap right know but i dont want to get a cheap stuff thta wont work or crash all the time so whats the issue with this game....

Whats wrong with this game? is it just me?

I bought this back in 2015. I reinstalled it because i forgot why i quit playing it. Well its really messed up. In DD2 my punches or kicks would be going through the enemy and it wouldn't register as a hit and sometimes the punches or kicks are so far away yet magically connect as a hit. Maybe my computer doesn't like it or something cuz its unplayable. I see why i stopped playing it, does anyone else have this issue? is there a fix? : /...

In DD1, you ever notice how only certain enemies went for and or used certain weapons?

I notice that Linda was the only enemy that went for and used the whip. Of the male charactrers, some would pick up the bat, some would not. I notice the Abobos on top of the mountain could pick up the rock. I suppose this created variety. But then, if all enemies could go for and use all weapons, then there would always be a threat if there were any weapons on the screen / playable area....

Dips...

So, why is there NO WAY to use the dip switches? If these are SUPPOSED to be arcade ports, then guess what, arcade games HAD dip switches to change things. How many quarters to start, how many to continue, how much health you got, how many extra men you got. Things like that. The arcade manager could set the dip switches to what they wanted. Seems an odd omission, especially if they are supposed to be arcade ports....

This game is NOT what I thought it would be. I figured it'd be a port of the original games to the pc, and it kinda is, but what a very LOUSY port at best. I'm glad in paid less than $7.50CAN for it, cause I don't think it's even worth that. Controls and such are super clunky, and it just makes for a crappy game session. I got it for nostalgic reasons, I as I played all 3 games while growing up, and these are NOT true ports. They are very shoddy and not true to the originals. Avoid unless you want a game you'll play once, get frustrated with EVERYTHING about the games, and never play them again.
