Can't bring new players into PVE server

Used to be a good game. Now, it's a struggle to get ahead unless you have time to live for the game or have alt accounts.

Sure it might get less attention than it used to, but I believe this is only due to majority disinterest in the theme of the game. if you are on the lookout for a sailing adventure of this or any other kind, my top picks are either this or Ubisoft's skull and bones (Don't pay attention to the media. give the game a go yourself with the free trial, then make your judgement).
