At the first checkpoint, where it instructs you to hold b to bounce, how do you do this? I keep falling into the spikes. I am playing on a xbox one controller. I am holding the b button and I just keep dying. I have head down every button on the controller at this point. What am I missing?...

I finished all the levels and I loved the game, but I'm still missing two crystals. One is in the first level, but I have really no idea where it could be, since the level is so short and linear. Is there a very well hidden one? Or maybe the counter is bugged? The other is near the beginning of layer 4, when you have to move the square block with the rapier. I can see the crystal inside an alcove but I have no idea how to reach it, since the block is in the way....
