Small update #2

Hey everybody, just fixing a few bugs I've noticed from some very helpful people reaching out. The most common one is sometimes the camera not transitioning correctly when you move to a new screen. Should be good now! You're up to date if your pause menu says 1.0.3 in the bottom right.

There is still a small elusive audio bug I'm trying to figure out 🤔🤔🤔

Lack of fullscreen a dealbreaker

On my monitor (4K resolution) the game window is less than 1/9th of the screen space and individual pixels are only visible if I put the nose up to the screen. I mean, that's literally the point of bigger resolutions like this, it is why operating systems and applications support scaling. You Have To Climb Out does not. No fullscreen. No window resize. No resolution options. It's just small. I respect the developer's choice, but for me this is a dealbreaker, sorry....

Hey everybody, my first game is out!

if someone told me back in December that I'd be writing that sentence in a steam announcement post, I'd probably not believe them but also start building up anxiety about having to make a game from start to finish and oh god i have to learn how to draw but what if they just had the wrong guy or something like there's no way I can do this I don't even know how to make the lil frog move also i have to draw !?

anyway, i figured out how to draw a little bit (also figured out some other stuff too like coding and general game design i guess idk) and here we are. frog is done.

it's very difficult for me to complete projects and I'm very proud of what this game has become over the past 6 or 7 months. i think i am going to eat a cookie. then maybe participate in some small game jam events. then maybe consider creating a second full game.
