As a nostalgic player from years ago when I was a kid, I remember playing this game from start to finish without issues on the nintendo 64. Even rise of the black dogs. The game was fun and it left me with a strong impression about hover tanks and units and the campaigns were interesting and varied, lots of fun.

... This is supposed to be that game. But the experience I've had is violently and uncomfortably difficult. So much so that it makes progression incredibly tedious and frustrating. I tried playing on easier difficulties, or using cheats, but there is one significant issue: The game won't let you progress in the missions if you don't play on at least normal difficulty without cheats. (that or I have some seriously bugged game. idk.)

Either way, controlling my own vehicle while not problematic, evading most enemy fire and all that came up is alright... but enemies are... extremely tanky. Numerous. And vastly faster to attack and harass than I remember them being in the old N64 version of the game by in my youth. It really is frustrating.

Heck, I'd have just happily played on very easy/easy if the game actually let me progress on that difficulty... Since the game wouldn't feel so utterly ridiculously hard to the point of unplayability. But it doesn't let you progress in the campaign. So I'm stuck and tired of trying. I miss the old N64 version I played. I wanted to revisit that memory. I barely got a taste of it. *sigh* So frustrating.
