I'm not giving this a negative review for not being fun, it is a fun take on the zombie genre and offers something different than WWZ or L4D.

It earns it's thumb-downs purely from terrible tech that ruins the multiplayer experience. The first thing it gets wrong is invites, we've been unable to join each-others games from the in game menus and had to use steam invites, which isn't the biggest of deals but you have to minimize the game to accept the steam invite and minimizing the game causes it to crash. This isn't a deal breaker.

What is a deal breaker is that after two of us upgraded our computers the game no longer works for those people. Apparently having "too many" cores in your CPU causes the game to crash.

Also despite having a GPU that's good enough to run VR games and any new game just fine, this game still has intermittent slow downs even on the slowest settings despite it graphics looking like a high class asset flip.

If you're computer is powerful enough to overcome the terrible optimization but not so powerful it makes the game crash, it is a fun game, but in my opinion that is a caveat that's so unreasonable that it should be the first thing listen about it on the store page.

i guess the number of hours i spent in this game should be saying enough,- had a lot of fun especially in coop on hardest mode for quite a time and made some nice international friendships. For the last achievements i needed a guide because a good number of collectables is well hidden. But there has been fun easter eggs within so its been worth it!
tho its an old game and i´d try to pay not more than 10 bugs for it. The graphical style reminds me a lot of the noir movies.
its quite stable, challanging and athmospherical- and there is no lurking dlc stuff like in part 4 which is half of the levels and half of the weapons without dlcs!

i dont think the minimum specs of this game is really upto its words . you need atleast 6-8 gb of ram to play it.(which i have , still having lags in between)

Buy it only if you have someone to play with. Playing alone isn't much fun, and you'll quickly get bored. But if you have some friends and like zombies, it's a must-play. Zombie Army Trilogy is a very challenging game, and if you don't find it hard enough, you can change some settings, like the number of zombies or the difficulty level, to spice things up. It took us over 20 hours to complete all the levels, but there's still a horde mode that might get anyone hooked for some more time. Lately, the game's price has been dropping even by 90% during sales, which is a no-brainer deal.
