I would give this game a borderline "yes".
New player to the series, love the art style and the playstyle, choice making in the day and then some hands-on action at night.

Pros:
+ great art style
+ good gameplay loop, 3x decisions (with possible drawbacks) and then action at night
+ randomization adds replayability

Neutral:
= At first I thought this game is more combat based. But in fact this game is more looting based. You are encouraged to loot as much as you can when deploying at night while trying to repel zombie attacks. Your guys at first loot extremely slow so it can take minutes just watching them clear a box of supplies. I am sure in later stages it will pick up a bit more but I never got far.
= Game is really hard, even on easy. Buyers beware.

Cons:
- Lacks polish, e.g. no back or exit button when starting game, like I can't change my commander name once set, and you couldn't even see the box on the upper left corner at start.

- Things are also not explained enough, at first I would thought at least each class has a weapon. But no, medics and engineer basically cannot fight unless you craft them a secondary weapon. This information was never told.
Another example is turrets you built on maps does not use your ammo, but if you deploy your own turret it does. I had to find out the hard way because suddenly my rifleman had a fully upgraded gun with no ammo and then my turret is also stopped. And if your turret explode your noise meter will immediately become full and zombies will come pouring in.
You will need several runs to slowly figure things out.

- Questionable designs
a. Too much randomization. You have 3 choices to make during the day, one is about rest, you can eat, heal, level up or craft gear for your characters, but this is randomized. Meaning that you might not get a chance to level up or craft at all. Nothing is certain. Same for the other two choices, you pick what to loot, where to go, etc. but it is all random. My game crashed during action once and I was set back to the beginning of the day, all the choices are different.
I think it is better to let the player choose directly at least for the rest bit so the choice feels more "tactical" than completely luck based.
What really baffles me is that even what you can craft are randomized. My engineer first had a secondary upgrade that is a barricade, my game crashed, I come back and later craft again the secondary upgrade is now a barbed wire.

b. Collision. Oh man, characters in this game are huge, and if you have one guy standing in the doorway looting a box, your other guys will be unable to reach the other side unless you move the other character out of the way first. Sounds fine but when you have like 5 civilians blocking all the space it is borderline playable.

c. No speed toggle. You can only choose to pause the game completely or play at normal speed. I would say during the heat of battle the game is indeed a bit too fast. But when you pause, you issue orders but you are not sure whether you ordered them correctly. You might have ordered your man to move when you wanted them to attack, and you would only find out when you unpause. If they have a slower speed setting then at least you can see you made a mistake and correct it immediately in slo-mo. In addition, during looting stage you have nothing to do apart from watching your man loot the boxes, if a speed up button is available the looting time can be shortened.

d. Survivors you found in stages will only fight and walk only, does not help you do other things. I find this really odd. At first I didn't know you can give them orders to walk (probably because at that time I haven't met the condition to recruit them yet). Then once I found out they can walk, I didn't know you had to exfil them as well for them to count. Because once your team is out you cannot control the survivor anymore. So the exfil order matters, make sure your survivor(s) are extracted BEFORE you last teammate. In a sense I would rather the survivors cannot be controlled at all and would run for the door once available, OR give us complete control to them like a squad member so they can help loot and can be the last one to leave.

e. Some bugs: achievements unlocking when I first start the game, saying I opened 10 doors but I just opened 1. Crashes mid game resetting the day's progress. Survivor rescued seems to be not tracking (unless you need to beat the game to actually "rescue" the survivors, but again it isn't explained)

In conclusion, I find this game OK. I suck at it for sure but this game is also kinda working against you. If you like a tactical game where luck plays a major role, you will definitely enjoy this game. Also I want to mention the developer at this stage will only fix bugs and will not implement any QoL features. You can checkout their roadmap and find more information. They will only add more content/features if this game sells, a sensible choice, but buyers should know this as well.

Great continuation to the franchise. I really like the graphics, can't believe the art is made in Paint (but I know it is).

Pretty intense real time tactics with some binary choices in between missions that can have a big impact in the fights.

It's pretty unforgiving, but if you mess up, you won't have a very long run, so you can start again pretty quickly.
