Patch 1.0.6 Quality of Life Update

Dear our heroes! A new update to the realms have arrived to provide more QoL for you brave heroes! As always, we are aiming to continue updating the game to provide the best for our players and patch 1.0.6 is a reflection of that. Let's read the patch notes first.

- Added a new option, Visual Effects Opacity Adjustments. We've been hearing how difficult it is to notice enemies' attacks with how both sides' attacks' are covering the whole screen. This new option allow players to set the opacity of player-caused effects, from normal to near transparency level. We've also added an auto-adjustment option to lower the opacity the longer a player survive so they can taste the effects in full glory early game while making it easier later without ever needing to touch the options again. A seamless experience, no pausing needed at all!

- Added a new option, Damage Numbers Hiding. In the same vein of things covering the screens, damage numbers are a visual effects that sometimes make things confusing. With that, we've added an option to turn of either your damage numbers or enemy damage numbers. This should make the screen much cleaner and we believe you heroes doesn't need them to know if your enemies are getting hurt or not. Everything's 50/50, either they die or they don't from your attacks.

- Added treasure pool information. We've heard that treasures and levels are quite confusing and after much discussion, we've added a way to easily identify all the treasures currently available in the pool during a level up. It will also tell you heroes when a new treasure has entered the pool, the current level of each treasure you have at a glance, if a treasure is still locked, and the last chance to pick something up before you go over the level!

- Reconfigured the save system to provide more stability to save files as well as auto backing up your saves. We've tried to fix a bug that might result in players unable to play the game, enemies not moving and saves not saving. After that bug was addressed, we looked to bugproof our systems of it just in case and have arrived at the new save system that could backup your save files. If anyone is effected by the aforementioned bug and lost their progress, feel free to e-mail us or our publisher's support site to obtain a near complete save file.

- We have forgot to add that the new update reduces the amount of stage obstacles on lower difficulties as well.

1. Try downloading the demo version to play. When attacking, experience is not gained and monsters do not attack. 2. How can this problem be solved? *I use Google Translate.

Unable to play the game normally.

Monsters do not come close to me. I don't get any exp when I kill monsters and my level doesn't go up. Even if I get an exp item from a treasure chest, my level does not go up. Why is this? This occurred in the trial version.

This game need more information for player

Without damage breakdown (dps summary of each item/hero) it hard to tell which item actually contribute to the build. Stat need more explanation, what does "500+200% crit rate" even mean. Some of stat don't even show number in stat screen (movement speed?). This game is fun but I just feel like try some random build I can think and hope it have enough dps to kill boss with no way to know how to improve my build....

Game is imbalanced, are Mages supposed to be weak? Or am I doing something wrong?

Why are mages so weak in this game? I just ran the same dungeon twice (one with only physical characters, and then with only magic characters) and with the magic characters i only got to the 3rd boss. while with physical characters i got to the 7th boss. Are mages supposed to be support and do little to no damage?...

Seed of Heroes Future Plans

Hello everyone! Today, we'd like to announce some future plans for Seed of Heroes! You might've thought your trials have ended as you reveled in Valhalla, haven't you? Fear not, it's just the beginning, just a glimpse into the oncoming glorious battles that you'll enjoy for eternity!

First things first, we will be having a major update in the unknown future. We do not know yet when it'll be, but our team is working their hardest to finish it as soon as possible. We won't be quiet about it and will try our best to update you heroes on its progress when we're able to.

So, what's to come in the so-called Major update?

New Bosses and boss mechanics. We'd like to add some more bosses to make every run a better experience where you can face off against more unique bosses with their attack patterns. We're also making some more mechanics to help players face off against bosses and have more fun with them.
New mode. We'd like to call the current mode a survival mode and add something new where players can try to test their skills called the boss battle mode. There will be a really strong boss at the start of the run that grows with you and attacks you at intervals. When you are able to defeat it, the run ends.
More enhancement features and updated old ones. We think there's various more enhancements we'd like to add into the game such as upgraded formations that provide buffs in accordance with each formation itself.
New treasures. As of the current game, most treasures are attack treasures that provide different kinds of attacks so we're thinking, let's add more utility treasures to help the run be smoother!
New encounters. While each realm has their own encounters, we do think we can add a few more general encounters to spice things up in every realm.
Realm Records. We've received requests to add a run record where players can go back to research upon their old runs, see what treasures they've picked up or which heroes were in the party at the time. We agreed it's a good system to have so we'll add them to the game.

Aside from that, we're also announcing that we're working on an expansion to the game, tentatively named Gods of Asgard for now.

This expansion will feature bosses of extreme power, the gods themselves, visiting the realms and testing your mettle. Their arrival will change the realms' landscapes, and we guarantee you will have a fun time battling against their powers.

Issue Reported Regarding Save Data

Hello Heroes!

An issue has been reported for both the demo and full game where suddenly it's no longer possible to gain experience points and level up. This appears to be an issue with Steam Cloud which will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

In the meanwhile, here are some instructions on how to deal with this issue should it come up:

Go to Steam Settings in your Steam client, click on Cloud and turn off Enable Steam Cloud
Go to C:\Users\[WINDOWSUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\HeroesProject\Saved\SaveGames and delete everything inside the folder
Start the game once more which will create a new save data file
Go back to Steam Settings and reenable Steam Cloud so that the old save data is replaced with the new one

We understand that it is frustrating to lose progress like this so if necessary, users can hit our support desk at https://support.sekaiproject.com/ to request a near complete save data file.
