My experience with Dragon Quest 1 started in 1988. I was 4 years old and just learning what games were. I had little concept of the strategy behind it, but the music, the sounds, and the feelings are something I've carried with me.

I tell you this because the music, the sounds in this game trigger all the nostalgia from that 4 year old boy 37 years ago. The first two hours I have played transported me into a time of blowing into cartridges..... being wired into the console and it just being you, and the story being portrayed. Thank you Square Enix, for letting my toddler experience joy again. CAn't wait for more. Giving me a reprieve to a simpler time is just what I needed.

I need more of these remakes!

Square Enix, are you guys secretly remaking Dragon Quest IV, V, & VI?

Dragon Quest is my favorite rpg franchise. Now Square is redoing some games(why not do everything up to DQXII?} Anyway, i've abandoned other games to enjoy every second of this, as you should
