To coincide with the release date announcement, we’ve released a new gameplay video showcasing Guardians of Azuma’s action combat, relationship system, and seasonal village life!

The land of Azuma may have been devastated by the Celestial Collapse, but Rune Factory has never looked better. Featuring Japanese-inspired aesthetics, the beautiful seasonal villages, which you can help rebuild and customize, are steeped in tradition.

Witness the action and exploration only possible thanks to your Earth Dancer abilities, and the Sacred Treasures you’ll use against enemies and the Blight impacting the land and people. As Subaru or Kaguya, it’ll be up to you to not just fend off evil but restore hope and return Azuma to its former glory, too.

And don’t forget about relationships with the locals. From everyday residents of Azuma to the land’s gods, there are 16* charming and lovely characters to befriend and potentially romance.

Ulalaka black clothes - another self-censorship ?

Romance behind a DLC paywall?

Granted this is only for 2 of the many romance candidates we have to choose from, but I was astonished to find that a few characters couldn't be romanced unless you purchased a DLC pack? Which felt incredibly wrong to me and what should be a complete game on launch. Why is this a thing? What else might be getting put in DLC that should be a part of the actual game? Cosmetics I can get, but "To access the romance scenario with this character you must purchase this DLC" sours my desire to get this game and p...
