Using Linux. Was delighted to see another knot to untangle, but I had to stop playing and get some work done. Now I've returned to the game and I must start over from the first puzzle. Was there something I should have done to save my progress?

The trailer and the description only tell half the story... how exactly does the game mechanic work? Is it hard to understand or is it intuitive?
