Is this game as good as Battlecruiser 3000 A.D.? Such a marvelous gem of a game. So glad to find out the great Derek Smart was back to blow our minds once again.

This seems like just another poor re-re-re-release of Universal Combat/Battlecruiser. They have alway been big on ideas and ego but terrible at implementation and polish. If there has been enough polish I would be willing to give the series another chance....

Because holy hell. First up, the game crashed on launch when I had steam overlay enabled. Then, when I got in, I went to the option menu. It crashed. I tried again, go to the option menu and... it didn't crash. YAY. But wait.. somethings wrong. Its not loading. Wait. Nothing is showing up... Oh.. it crashed. Try again, don't bother with the options menu and play at the glorious resolution of 1024x768, streched over my 1080p monitor. Got into my ship. YAY SPACE. Right click on the screen and crash. Dude...

Most the games put on steam are usually attached a metacrtic rating i think its related to those that actually own the game being able to rate the game, i think enabling this feature and letting all the fans vote on the game is probably a good idea it will give potential buyers a troll free experience when they look at making a perhcase decision...
