There's a portion of items you have to buy other games to access. There's not a lot of items to start with so it kind of really sucks the items are being walled like this.

Game has a lot to like about it! There are some deal breakers that make this not a recommend.

The people will get stuck in repeat animation cycles when interacting with things. I also had a crash on exit.

The zone system prevents people from interacting with items that meet their needs. The zone system in general probably needs a rework, either to allow overlapping zones, or shared zones. With the zone system, it feels like the game is pushing you to build duplicates of every need-satisfying item for every person, but the money rolls in slow and the cost for everything (specifically new walls) is so high that it feels like you should build an apartment with shared amenities first - which they then don't share.

If there's a rework of the zone system and some bugfixes, this would be a recommend.

A great little desktop idler you can keep running while you are busy with more other tasks. It is really good to see more of these titles being released - the variety keeps things interesting! Worth getting if you like the Sims or similar games and are on the lookout for something less complicated to keep you busy either between gaming sessions or just to chill-out, the most important reason for the review - up last.

I was planning on writing a review after completing my first house - wanted to buy this from the first time I read about it on a Rusty's Retirement update, Bought the game this month (saw it was part of the Bottom-Of-Your-Screen Bundle and bought the lot) and worth each and every cent!

This is essentially a 2D Sims - but for those that can remember Little Computer People from the C64 / Spectrum / Amiga days - more similar to that but there is less direct interaction with the little people. You can pick them up and move them around, choose their career (all careers are work from home!) and give them some time off. They earn money and experience in the job - and each promotions grants an increase in "salary" and skill requirements. Skills are split in two groups - skills that are increase by things in the house for example a mirror increases charisma (passive) and skills that increase with activity such as writing (active). The little people do their own thing, you do not have any real direct control over them. You have much more control of the building and decorating of the house (or Town as it is called in the game), so a nice little bit of creative freedom you have making the house either as cozy or chaotic as you want. each little perosn has their own goals (quests) that need to fulfilled - as well as their career goals - and as a whole the community has a list of goals as well. You can do these as at your own pace.

The reason for the review - I ran across and odd issue where my little peeps would play a musical instrument - non stop - ignoring all their needs. Music is food for the soul right? Posted on the Bugs forum and wouldn't you know it - a day later the dev/s has released a patch fixing the issue. A HUGE shout-out to the dev/s for getting this sorted and so quickly. In an industry that has mega companies spending literal billions to develop games - release them with issues that are at times game breaking and not caring for OUR time AND money that they take, we have awesome devs like 9FingerGames (whom I only recently realised I have some titles of in my library) that actually make an effort and sort out issues making the games play as intended.

Now I am off to idle some more time away - and give an updated review!
