The DLC follows our March Update[loom.ly] - which addressed a number of known bugs and introduced performance and QoL fixes.


The DLC pack expands the tour mode, allowing you to take your game to four breathtaking Caribbean playing locations, including:



Get your hands on a new meticulously detailed, Caribbean-themed ‘Sea Horse’ chess set. Whale bone, painted wood, and driftwood in three different variants…

The DLC also introduces five new AI opponents, each more cunning than the last. The notorious Captain Aion leads the charge as Chess Infinity’s most challenging opponent yet, boasting the highest Elo rating in the game.

Take on fresh Tour Mode events, achieve new unlockable targets, and personalize your experience with exclusive items. Plus, a raised Elo cap means even greater challenges await!

A new update is now available for Chess Infinity on all platforms.

The update addresses a number of known issues with the base game.

Be sure to update before you next play for the best possible experience.

• Lighting improvements: across all in-game environments, particularly attention paid to darker environments.
  
• Chess set readability: improvement readability across various environments and times of day.
  
• Level loading screens now match the environment you choose.
  
• Added an additional camera option to enable focus on pieces.
  
• Adjustment to the game rating system to better reflect your actual performance in each game.
  
• New intro cameras for the environments.

• Fixes to the dynamic weather to stop it raining more than it should.
  
• Fixed an issue with favourited chess sets so that it retains its place in the list.
  
• Fixed an issue with a glitched butterfly stuck in mid air in the Japanese environment.
  
• Fixes where sometimes the player could lose input focus.
  
• Fixed an issue where VFX audio may still play even when VFX is turned off.
  
• Fixed a rare bug that caused the game to occasionally lock on checkmate.
  
• Fixed a rare bug that caused pieces to levitate in lessons.

• Various audio improvements.
  
• Ray tracing now enabled and set as default (PC only).

• Introduced 'Performance' and 'Fidelity' modes for PS5 Pro - both modes offering ray tracing and optimising either frame rate or resolution.
  
• Note: ray tracing is enabled by default on PS5 Pro ONLY.

Chess Infinity isn’t just about the visuals. It’s about feeling every move. Our dynamic audio system swells and shifts with key moments, bringing every match to life.

The intensity rises as you go for checkmate, and quiet contemplation fills the pauses between turns.

We get it. Sometimes, tradition is best. For the chess purists out there, Chess Infinity also lets you position the camera for a top-down, classic chessboard view. Pure strategy, just the way you like it.

You can even turn off VFX and the UI, too - so it’s just you and the board.
