This war of mine, it holds a special place in my heart, the first time i saw this was in a magazine of some kind, i remember being enticed and searching for it for a long time, things look dark and gloomy and it fits the aesthetics really well, you risk helping people, you thin out your resources in hopes the community you barely ever see makes it out alive too, The game's message is for all of us to interpret, to me i think it is empathy, the difficulty of making what could be the right choice or the one that makes you see tomorrow, The war is still going on for so many countries, we need to be informed, spread information and support the innocent that suffer needlessly.

With 8 hours of gameplay, here are my personal pros and cons for This War of Mine so far:

Pros:
- Soundtrack. The music has a somber tone. A combination of bittersweet and hopeless. Fitting.
- Art-style. The locations truly feel war-scarred, rough, and bleak. The menu overlay matches, too.
- Sense of progression. Felt special to get a knife for the first time, let alone a gun, later.
- Specialization. Each character had a thing they were good at, rewarding playing to their strengths.
- Radio. Fantastic world-building mechanism which went a long way to provide a story.
- Traders. Game has simple internal economy and traders hint how under/overpriced their stuff is.

Cons:
- Character movement. Clunky. Stairs are annoying to traverse. Turning around 180° is an ordeal.
- The combat. It's bad. Sometimes you assassinate as planned, other times you just instantly die.
- Saving. Needs to auto-save at home AND scavenge locations too, else death means replaying everything.

Overall, I think the game is good. If I knew what I knew now, I'd spend $10-15 to buy it again.
