Playing on win 11 and it lags really bad. any known fixes?

Just that. THE ONLY option that causes me major issues is that one. I took about 2 hours to narrow everything down to perfection. I play it on the HIGHEST resolution (2k) Full screened and the game looks beautiful and is stable. Very well made game for its time! The UI scaling is VERY well done as everything reads perfect! Just really satisfied for this strategy GEM that you can get for like under a buck on sale :)...

So at this point it's reasonably well known that O-R-B has problems running on modern hardware, a nearly universal solution until recently has been to navigate to the game's install folder and rename dbghelp.dll to dbghelp_old.dll and doing this usually it fixes 99% of framerate/smearing/glitchy graphics. As of 06/2025 though some unknown issue has cropped up for multiple players. It is unknown whether or not it was a windows update that caused the problem, a Directx update, or a nvidia/AMD/intel GPU driv...

I played all the tutorials, yet on the first mission for the Malus, I had to restart several times to even get five minutes in! How am I supposed to maximize my damage to enemy fighters? Do I just suck?
