v0.7.6 - March Content Drop

The goal of this update is to introduce the quiver reload mechanic along to give more options to the player to earn money.
There's 13 new relics and 2 new arrows along with some bug fixing and balancing.

v0.7.5 - March Content Drop

Add
- Reloading the quiver now give "Stunned 1" (that means enemies have one free turn while you reload, unless you have some "Immunity" status)
- Add "Quiver Arrow" S:10/20/30 P:-1 When shot, reload your quiver, Ghost, Restricted Use 1/2/3
- Add "Cheese Arrow" S:10/20/30 P:1/2/3 Gives you Immunity 1/2/3 when fired, Gives "Poison 10/20/30" to enemy when hit
- Add "Pink Cheese" relic: Give +2 piercing for each Immunity status stack that you have
- Add "Gold Harpoon" relic: Give 1 coin for every 5 platforms destroyed (Max 20 per shot)
- Add "Gold Stick" relic: Give 5 coins every time you kill at least 2 enemies on a single turn
- Add "Gold Bow" relic: Give 2 coins every start of turn
- Add "Gold Leaf" relic: Give 2 coins for each arrows that hit the ground directly (without hitting anything else)
- Add "Gold Mushroom" relic: Give 2 coins when applying a negative status to an enemy
- Add "Gold Flower" relic: At the end of combat, retrieve 50% of coins remaining on platforms
- Add "Gold Quiver" relic: Give 5 coins every time your quiver is reloaded
- Add "Piercing Quiver" relic: Give +2 piercing every time your quiver is reloaded (reset at the end of combat)
- Add "Strength Quiver" relic: Give +20 strength every time your quiver is reloaded (reset at the end of combat)
- Add "Poison Quiver" relic: Give poison 20 to all enemies every time your quiver is reloaded
- Add "Health Quiver" relic: Heal 5 HP every time the quiver is reloaded
- Add "Shield Quiver" relic: Give 10 shield every time your quiver is reloaded

Improvements
- Add changelog and roadmap in main menu (on the build version)
- When completing a quest that require an item: the dialogue is now happening just after the combat instead of on the next dialogue node
- Remove "Keys" relic from Glenn's rewards since it could break a run when not wanted

Fix
- Fix "Remove 3 Arrows", "Arrow collector" and "Protected" achievements because they were not triggered with the good conditions or not always triggering
- Fix run duration in run summary (duration was not correct because of game speed settings)
- Fix "Piercing Arrow": the target of the effect was wrong, "Piercing" status is now added to the player instead of the enemy
- Fix "Eggplant" relic: the description is now showing the description of "Light" and "Heavy" arrow effects
- Fix "Poisonous Destruction" and "More Destruction More Damage" relics: fix descriptions that was not displayed properly

Balancing
- Nerf "Money Arrow": give less coins and have "Restricted Use" arrow effect (depending on upgrade level)
- Nerf Sabrina level: remove some buff platforms and half player positive statuses between phases
- Nerf "Big Knight Helmet" relic

v0.7.6 - March Content Drop Bugfix

Fix
- Fix a bug where completing a quest in Bartholomew combat was not showing/unlocking the map and blocking run progression

Many reviewers have around 100h of playtime while the rest barely 5-7h. So about how much content is there ?

Great game, these two things would make it better: 1. Skipping Difficulties. 2. The Ability to Use Keys to Aim Bow (I find mouse aiming to be iffy). Thanks.

Arrogue early access Roadmap announcement

We have reached 1000 sales!
Thank you to everyone who has been playing Arrogue, seeing so many players playing the game really make me happy and confident in my game dev journey!

If you are enjoying the game please leave a review on Steam because it really boost the visibility and will help me to develop the game as long as I can!

Here's the roadmap:
Updates
Every month there will be a content update with at least 10 relics and 2 arrows
Every 2 months there will be a themed update (+ content drop)

The goal of these updates is to improve the game to make it to the 1.0 release!
In any of these update there might be some bugfixes, balancing, QOL or unplanned features/mechanics

Experimental branch
There's a new experimental branch on Steam to try future updates a few days before release (for feedback and bug hunting before release)

The next update (first content update of the roadmap) is now available on this branch for you to try it!

To use it: Go to your Steam library -> Right click on Arrogue -> Properties -> Betas -> Beta Participation -> Choose "experimental"
There's a dedicated role and channel in the discord server[discord.com] to be notified and to discuss about these experimental updates

There's a new channel in the discord server[discord.com] to make suggestions about things to add to the game
Since I need to add new content every month I might run out of ideas so I'd love if you can do some brainstorming here

Themed updates descriptions
The descriptions below are non-exhaustive

April: QOL Update
- Improve tooltip to show all arrow upgrade levels
- Improve tooltip to show flat arrow stats
- Improve status readability with bigger text and icon
- Improve tutorial
- Improve accessibility
June: New Levels
- Add missing levels/enemies/mechanics that was not finished on time for the release
August: New Characters
- Add 1-2 Characters (One is already imagined, need to test if it is fun/balanced)
- Improve existing characters by banning some relics for each of them in order to improve character synergies
October: Endless Mode
- Add endless mode: after winning a run you will be able to choose to continue it in endless mode (The whole game will scale accordingly to the endless loop but achievements will be locked)
December: Difficulty
- Add 5-10 difficulties to each characters
- Fix all balancing issues remaining (Community will be really needed for this one)
February: Daily Run
- Add daily run: randomly generated runs common for every player with a leaderboard to compare score against other players

After all these updates, in 1 year, we will decide if the game is good enough to release in 1.0 or if it needs more time in early access!

Issue on tutorial
https://imgur.com/a/Ppxu8KJ Game grew unresponsive in the beginning after first shot in tutorial. Nothing happened, no matter what or were i clicked. I could still mouse over things. Had to force a shutdown and trying tutorial again before it progressed properly....

v0.7.4 - Early Access Release

Hello everyone,

Arrogue is finally releasing in Early access after 1 year of developement!

It has been a crazy year for me, I've put all my energy working on this game and I'm so happy for the support you guys gave me in return. I want to thanks all the playtesters, the people from the community and all the players.

Arrogue is still a little rough in the edges but I'm very happy with the result so far!
During early access I want to balance the game, improve the difficulty curve and of course add more content. I will soon announce the early access roadmap.

I hope you'll enjoy playing the full version as much as I'm enjoying working on this game.

Here's the changelog:

- Add 26 relics (scissors, refined_quartz, refined_emerald, refined_diamond, grapes, potato_seed, piercing_bow, strength_bow, health_bow, shield_bow, pepper, wheat_seed, wheat, pepper_seed, egg, fried_egg, sad_egg, target_ring, target_amulet, poison_axe, poison_sword, poison_scepter, poison_hammer, mighty_hammer, rose, black_whip)

Some feedback since release
I enjoyed the demo and decided to get it on EA. I have some feedback or suggestions that can help the game further 1. Some optimization would be nice. The game works fine when you hit some platforms but you hit a lot (I mean you can hit a lot of with high pierce), the FPS absolutely tanks. 2. Dialogue skipping would be great. 3. Some more level or enemy variety would be good. It gets a little boring fighting the same enemies with multiple characters. 4. The heroes could have more loadouts just to give...

possible bug with high stats
Since the last update I have encountered something I would class as a bug. It appears as if having a lot of piercing resets your piercing to 2 for all arrows as a baseline and 4 für the pieriest of them all. Is that intended? It also looks like that high accumulated strength disappears in a fight between rounds within a fight....

Jank arrows version of Peglin.

If the game was more polished and the mechanics were impacted in a more obvious way with your build would rate higher. At the moment feels a bit like a scammy phone game.

I think with some work this could be really fun though...

This game has good potential, its a charming little archery rogue-like.

Currently it really just needs more content, which the dev's have already released an early access roadmap, so the future is looking good for it!
