Over The Top: WWI second alpha Playtest!

We are excited to announce that the second public alpha Playtest for Over The Top: WWI will be from the 25th till 26th May 2024!

We will have new and tweaked content for you, such as balance changes, new maps, weapons and vehicles, so even if you played in the previous test, come check it out to provide us useful feedback!

As previously announced we are looking to host a couple of public Playtests prior to release of Over The Top: WWI, so that we can find bugs, get feedback and tweak gameplay well ahead of the official release.

The second alpha Playtest for Over The Top: WWI will start on Saturday the 25th May at 16:00 CET and will end on the 26th May at 06:00 CET.
Please keep in mind that the game is still in alpha and a number of features have not yet been implemented. There will be bugs and performance issues as well unfinished gameplay. The Playtest will be multiplayer only. We will be hosting a small selection of different maps to evaluate performance and gameplay.

If you are interested in participating in the Playtest, you can register for it from our Steam Store Page. Once registered, you will be notified once the Playtest starts.

Suggestion Save a battlefield

It would be awesome, when you generate or play a map, you can save it, so you can continue. Because, since, bombs will create craters, how interesting it would be, to start in a green map and the longer you play, the more no mans land it gets!

Over The Top: WWI alpha Playtest FAQ

As the first public alpha Playtest for Over The Top: WWI will start tomorrow and last from the 13th till 14th April 2024, we thought that it might be useful to answer some of your most asked questions.

So lets get right to it!

Q: When will the playtest be?
A: The first alpha Playtest for Over The Top: WWI will start on Saturday the 13th April at 16:00 CET and will end on the 15th April at 06:00 CET.
Q: How do I participate?
A: If you are interested in participating in the Playtest, you can register for it from our Steam Store Page. Once registered, you will be notified once the Playtest starts.

Q: Will there be Singleplayer?
A: No. This playtest will not feature any Singleplayer. Later playtests will however feature singleplayer. We currently want to test multiplayer.
Q: Will there be more Playtests prior to release?
A: Yes, we plan on hosting several playtest before release of Over The Top: WWI.
Q: What will be in the Playtest?
A: The Playtest will feature Multiplayer with 4 maps. You will be able to test all core features of the game, including Tanks and Machine Guns. However, some items such as uniforms and some features are currently not yet implemented.
Q: How many Servers will there be?
A: We will be hosting an EU and a NA Server.
Q: Will there be bots?
A: Yes, the Servers will have a few bots enabled. Each player joining the Server will also replace a bot. Once enough players have joined the server, there will be no bots.
Q: What is the purpose of the Playtest?
A: The purpose of this test is to find bugs and get feedback on the current gameplay way ahead of the release of Over The Top: WWI. We will also spend special attention on weapon balance and FPS performance.
Q: Will I keep my unlocks after the Playtest?
A: No. All Unlocks will be reset. However, we have multiplied the unlock rate for this playtest, so you will earn them quicker. We might also re-order, remove and add unlocks after the playtest, so keeping them is going to be impossible.
Q: Will there be bugs and performance issues?
A: Yes! There will be bugs and there likely will be performance issues. That is why we are testing. We need to find as many bugs and issues as possible, so that we can fix them.
Q: Where can I report bugs or provide feedback?
A: You can do so on our Discord.

Also das Game macht Spaß und funktioniert für eine Alpha schon richtig gut. Zerstörung ist mega. Was mir aber aufgefallen ist, dass es einige Bugs gibt . Zum einem ist es teilweise die Hitbox von den Soldaten die Kugeln fliegen einfach durch den Körper und das mehrmals hintereinander bis diese dann schaden machen. Auch die Kugeln von den Gewehren bleiben hängen an Blättern von Bäumen usw. das ist teilweise frustrierend wenn man ein ganzes Magazin auf den Gegner schießt und nichts passiert voral...

Listening to the community killed Bcof. you killed it by adding napoleon era stuff. make the game the way you want it. if people really want something extra make them pay for it in a dlc. dont kill another game with poor dev choices
