Great story, great graphics when it isn't bugging out. A game I wish I could love but <CAN NOT FIND STRING TEXT>

$50 million dollar budget, 4 years in development. Year and a bit of open beta so far.
Laid off most of their devs, 3 times.
Updates add more bugs than content, which takes even longer to fix.
No communication from devs outside of discord.
Bugs from last years event still in this years events. "BuT iTs In BeTa StIlL"
If you have fun, they'll find a way to nerf it. But not fix the existing bugs.
Pushes early Switch launch only to have softlock quests and break minigames.
Outfits, skins, pets are cash shop items ONLY and cost $20 and up.

I had quit for a year, and came back to nerfs and more bugs.

"Cozy" is a weaponized word in the Palia community.

In the beginning there is a lot of grinding involved, but the NPCs coming to your plot and giving you rewards does help you a bit. I was not a fan of how long it took to complete the tutorial to leave your plot, or how long it takes to fill the romance bar for some of the characters (Einar, etc.), but it is understandable to a degree. Hopefully with future updates they will be able to add more lore/levels to the other romanceable characters (I'm a sucker for a certain blonde farm boy) and make trading more of a thing. Despite it's quirks and glitches because it's still in Beta, the gameplay is beautiful, the quests and lore are really interesting once you befriend all of the villagers, and the community is one of the friendliest communities I have ever encountered.
