Early Access Update 11 – Patch Notes

8 Feb

Hi everyone!

This update includes gameplay adjustments, fixes, and refinements.

What’s Fixed

Improved tolerance for taking damage from rocks. Issues with rock damage warnings on roads in some areas have been fixed
Adjustments to horse jump timing and jump height
Wagon pulling is now less sensitive when galloping, and more roads and tracks are now open for wagons
Fixed an issue where hoofstep and other horse-related sounds could disappear in certain areas
A Help section has been added to the backpack
Language settings are now available in the main menu in cases where Steam starts the game in the wrong language
Overall refinements and a few new quests added

One of the reasons I quit playing SSO was the magic component. It's so hard to avoid now. Does this one have the same magic in it?

Early Access Review

I overall liked this game, it feels quite nostalgic and I think it has a ton of potential, you can tell with the frequent updates from the creators that it is still being highly worked on. What personally scared me off quite a bit is the fact that any future chapters will be paid DLCs, I'd way more prefer to have one end price with no additional purchases needed. I would not say that the game itself is bad, Sadly I just don't think it is anything for me personally.

Yes, yes and 100x yes!

As a former player of Starshine Legacy, old Star Stable PC offline games, old Star Stable Online (still playing up to now), I am so glad that this game exists! I absolutely love it!!! This game is a must have!!! I'm so glad I found out through steam horse sales!

The attention to detail in this game is awesome!! The game feels so alive, the graphics polished, controls smooth.

It's incredible it was done by two people.

Early Access Review

I enjoyed the game and the story. I like the small amount magic, it isn't in your face or takes over the whole story. I do wish we had the option to explore the island after you get done with the story. As well as smaller quests to earn more cash if you like to change clothes and colors a lot. At this point you cannot collect all of them. It would be also helpful to remove what you already have from the shop.

I also found myself jealous of Tom's horse. It is the only horse in the game that stands out. So I hope in the future we get more colors and options. Another small problem I have is that some bushes you can run through and some you can't. It was very annoying at the start before learning to avoid them all together.

And the most unforgiveable thing. YOU CAN'T PET THE CAT. I nicely demand that this be fixed. I was very disappointed.

Over all I think this game will be fun in the long run. I had fun with it and played it between two days. The only thing that stopped me from playing it all at once is my need to sleep. The world is fun and was filled with details. If you're looking for a quick but fun game. This is it.

Thoughts after day 1 I'm not good at smooth reviews so I'm just gonna go along with whatever I think of. I like how the game teaches you basics at the very start: You, as a player, immediately find out the background of your character and their horse and are immediately introduced to some key places and characters + the game teaches you the basics about the horse: riding, feeding, affection, etc. I recently started playing sso bc of a friend and what I noticed in sso prompted me to notice a key ...

Early Access Update 10 – Patch Notes

Hi everyone!

This update focuses on content cleanup.

What’s Updated

The temporary Sims-like voices have been removed from the game. Over time, the discussion around them on social media grew larger than intended and began to take focus away from the game itself. To gently close this chapter, the placeholder voices have been removed for now and will be replaced later with real “Sims-like” voices, natural and expressive.
The last remaining placeholder details, some of which were created using Photoshop AI tools during early development, have now been removed. A few background elements inside shops and minor details on two signs have been replaced with clean, neutral textures.

Just adding my 2 cents as I go First hour: I love the art style, it's simple but still feels polished and cute. Movement animations are smooth and visually satisfying, it really brings that "galloping through the open fields" feeling to the screen. The music really suits the whimsical vibe of the game. Early Access Update 9 – Patch Notes

8 Jan

Hi everyone!
This update focuses mainly on save game stability, along with new languages.

What’s Fixed

Save game system has been thoroughly reviewed across all quests (200+), to ensure saving and loading works reliably
You can now exit the game at any point and resume from a save without introducing quest blockers
There may still be some minor visual issues in rare cases, but there should be no progression blockers
We still recommend playing day by day when possible, for the best overall experience
New languages added: Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian
