Weekly Update

Howdy Outlaws!

This week's update adds a new NPC to the game. You can find him in Salem and he might spill some interesting tea...

Additionally, we are adding two new bullets, which were inspired by some ideas from "LeEpicH" on the Discord.

Broken Arrow is... well, it's a broken arrow. What more can I say about it? I guess two arrows are better than one tho, even if one is broken...

The second bullet definitely goes well with those arrows, whether they are broken or not!

This update also brings a change to DISINTEGRATION. To help your memory a little bit, bullets with disintegration loose 1 dmg on rotate. With this update, they will also destroy themselves once they have 0 damage left. It's a small change, but it opens up some possibilities with destroy and further reinforces the mindset of having to strategically place your bullets to prevent them from dying. However, the mystery bullet might just be the perfect bullet to not only keep the disintegration bullets alive, but also strengthen them in the process. If you have two, that is...

Whats Next?

Unfortunately, in preparation for the first major update, we have decided to suspend the regular weekly updates for now to focus on developing new features. However, this doesn't mean there won't be any smaller updates; they just won’t be on a regular basis. Leading up to the release of the big update, we will share more information with you through a .Forty-five Bulletin, where we discuss changes and new additions. We hope you understand, making the weekly updates slowed down the development a lot. However, there still will be small updates that might add NPCs, teasers, or a bullet here and there; they just won’t be regular. We will announce on our discord when the next update drops; you can join it here[discord.gg].

Also, we have a lot of new bullets and mechanics planned for the big updates, so don't worry, you won't run out of firepower anytime soon :)

Little bug I found

I am playing on Windows with a 6700 XT and a Ryzen 5 5600X. I've found that sometimes (not always) when you right click, it closes the game and a java error code pops up. I didn't think much of it until it's happened two days in a row and a total of 3 times, specifically when I accidentally right click on something. Another note - it happens when I right click on something I could left click (e.g. a bullet or an icon on the map)....

Howdy Outlaws!

Todays update introduces Long Lost Bullet:

This bullet has some neat effects, but they only activate while the enemy has poison, so you have to ensure poison remains active as long as possible.

Meanwhile, we are still hard at work on the major update (Be prepared for some teasers coming up). We also have some important exams ahead of us, which means we are currently spending a lot of time studying and unfortunately couldn't work much on the game. But this will hopefully change in the summer, where the game will see some meaningfull progress.

WOW! This is going somewhere. The concept of a rotating attack queue is awesome and very satisfying once you start building combos.

The trader node allows the purchase of a random/changing inventory of bullets through out both types of maps

The second coming of StS, devs are responsive to bug reports and feedback on their discord. Great game massive potential.

This location effect freezes the chamber so it doesnt rotate, stopping those buffs that rely on the positioning and rotation from occurring

Howdy Outlaws!

This week's update introduces two new bullets. The Doodle Bullet is designed to provide support for all those 0 cost bullets and introduces a new keyword: SEARCH. For those familiar with card game terminology, SEARCH is used as a tutor. As the name suggests, it searches for a card in your deck, meeting a certain requirement. In the case of Doodle Bullet, it searches for a random bullet in your deck that costs 0 reserves, buffing it in the process.

By the way, Doodle Bullet was doodled in Sardinia, on a trip, in a car, with my laptop. So, if that's not a flavor win, I don't know what is. Because that's the cool thing about doodling; it doesn't matter the age, skill, place, or equipment, everyone can doodle.

Whats next

We are currently testing early versions of some new features; however, it will still take a while to bring them to a place where they are release-ready. If you have gathered some of the clues during the weekly updates, you might already have an idea of some of the things coming…

Great job guys, just finished the game in one go and here is some feedback. 1) BULL ET is way too OP, lower its damage on rotation. 2) LEADERS's BULLET too OP, should cost 3 or give less stats to other bullets 3) You should not allow freely walking on the entire map. Like if I choose a path, I should not be able to go back, only forward and to the side. Currently I just farm all the bonuses, shops and HP spots, while leaving 60% of enemy encounters behind. 4) Handling money based of extra damage dealt to d...
