I made sure English was chosen for Steam and game option, but English is not showing up in game

What was the inspiration for this game? Also will it have full controller support?

OK looks pretty neat and seems fun but, I chose English for my language and still get Portuguese language before the English pops up with certain words repeating themselves. Fishing I think needs another look at with certain fish being too fast and slower fish not being caught after correct input. No indication of knowing when your line has caught a fish so spamming keys to see if you catch one or not. While character selection looks cool its very fiddly to choose and I hope later on in future there be ...
