This is a very good demo. The platforming is fluid, I play a lot of platformers, and I would put this characters physics/general mechanics at a high tier. It was not too difficult to get used to the spell mechanic (for my fellow celeste players, it is essentially the dash, with a little twist). I look forward to the full game!...

I see where you were coming from by making it so the player attacks in the opposite direction: you want it to be like a dash or a double-jump so the player is moved in the direction being held. However, there are several times where you make the player attack a block or a mushroom, using the attack as an actual attack instead of a dash. These moments throw a wrench into your plan because now the player has to hold the opposite direction as what they want to attack, which is frankly way more unintuitive tha...
