Small Update: Demo 0.3.46

Update to Unity 2022.3.59f1
This isn't a major version update, we've been on 2022.3 for quite a while. However this update comes with a lot of bug fixes. We were prompted to update now because we have gotten feedback from some players that the game is very slow to quit after a long play sessions and this update seems to help. Hopefully it also comes with broader hardware compatibility.

Fix # & @ queries for Conveyor Loaders.
The list of things you can test in the expression editor is now changes with the entity type.
Conveyor Loaders can, once again, test source and destination properties.
Protect against loading a deleted entity in the UI.
Fix a bunch of issue with conveyor bridges crossing other bridges. Not sure I have all the edge cases yet but it is better.
Fix construction and deconstruction of the Tower Crane.
Disable deconstruction of Relays. You pick them up with a drone to get the antenna back
Remember now works with targets by ID.
New expression term: "count of" returns the count of an entity type or role.
Several of the "other" expression terms (like area and distance) now return a large negative number so it is easy to know whether the target exists or not.

Edge Scrolling

I wonder why edge scrolling isn't an option...? I don't mind using the keyboard, but sometimes edge scrolling would be convenient.

Small Update: Demo 0.3.42

Thanks to all of you who played our game over Next Fest (and before too)! There's nothing like a large influx of players to help you find a bunch of issues in the game that need fixing.

Features and Balance Changes

New expression terms that use memories rather than target or tags.
Sort items in inventory displays.
Portable generators now are 100% efficient and have the same priority as the small bioreactors.
Most commands can now resolve to self.

Bug Fixes

Make sure save directories are not read only so it is possible to delete them. This is a work around for a quirk of OneDrive
AbortIf now can properly abort loops.
Robot arms are now back to their original steel color.
Fix the layout of the Item popup on 800p displays.
Don't let the item picker go off the bottom of the screen.
Fix for assembly drones occasionally going AWOL and running off the map.
If On Tile now looks at entity types and even into storages.
Leveler radius text is now correct.
Remember the conveyor placement rotation.
Make sure the "have I ever built a crane" state gets saved.
Replacing a conveyor loader with a junction behaves very badly. Fix a couple problems so the factory comes back up in a reasonable state, but also don't let the player place a junction there because it isn't going to connect anyhow.
Catch a few more errors I've seen in the logs.

What if...?

What if the list of all drones was sortable... and included optional columns for % battery and icons for the cargo? Even better would be the ability to muti-select with shift or control + click.

Garage Scripting Weirdness

Okay, so I have a macro in my garage with two steps: make a drone, and then release it. First, this would be an awesome time for a counter ("while x < 10, make drone"). Second, it doesn't actually launch the drone. The drone sits in the bay until then next time you make a drone, like a coke can jammed up in a soda machine until you buy a second one....

Drone Pathfinding

I've noticed that if a drone is in the path another drone is travelling on, the latter won't try to move around the former; it just hangs. This is a real issue if you have more than a few drones. Is there a script to handle this?

Drone Pathfinding

There seems to be a bug with drone pathfinding in scripts. Sometimes the drone just won't go to the target beacon, even though it has no problem going to the exact same beacon from the exact same starting point when you tell it to manually. I have tried various criteria to specify the beacon (nearest, same team, etc.) in the scriptand it's just bugged. The only fix is to clear the role for the drone, then reselect the role, and re-run the script. VERY FRUSTRATING!...
