"Vae Victis - Khan" is an adult game. Fantasy RPG in the form of a vn. It is set in medieval times and you play as a betrayed prince trying to reclaim his rightful place on the throne. Conspiracies and spies are everywhere. Choose to be a brute or try to be the nice guy. You must unite the regions to overthrow your own mother! Unifying them won't be easy! Prepare to.. "sweat" for it.. From many different activities! You can be bad, you can be good, but the 1 thing you cannot be is... not being a lustful beast! ^^

Refreshing dialogues that don't try to downplay anything and feel natural. They are more realistic and down to earth which helps with the immersion. The gameplay is mostly in vn format and from the options you can make it only vn (you can auto win every battle). Do the sidequests! While skipping combat won't make you lose anything, if you skip the sidequests you will miss 70%-80% of the game and the adult scenes.

The game is currently in early access and not 100% finished. This includes and the animated scenes; especially at the start of the game, most of the content is still images. The dev plans to upgrade them to animated, like the majority of the later game is, before the final release.
As far as adult content goes, it has everything. Almost every fetish and position/scenario you can think of! Rule the regions by making one baby at a time! ^^
From the menu, you can opt out of certain content or have it optional.

Choosing content also applies to the actual strategy game. You can turn battles on and off at any given time without repercussions (except locking yourself out of some achievements that look broken regardless for the time being). It has both steam and in-game achievements. Manage your regions and your army! Build, transfer, take care, protect from raids and have romances! Reclaim your birthright to become the King!
Battles are turned-based when it comes to armies and a variation of rock-paper-scissors for simple enemies and bosses. The RPS game isn't based on luck. You can predict your opponent's move and there is a strategy to figure it out. The tutorials are good; including those for managing your army and conquered regions/Kingdom.

It could use some improvements but the content is vast and interesting, same as the combat and the adult scenes!

This game is being released in Early Access. That means that the game may, or may not, change from its current state. It has been in development since July of 2020 and is expected to be in Early Access for two to three years.

Vae Victis Khan is a RenPy adventure game.

You've spent four years, locked in a cell. A dirt floor, stone bed, and a bucket for your bodily functions is all you've had. Even after four years, you don't know why you're here.

Four years ago you returned home from the Academy, in the spring. You went to the seamstress' home. You had shared her bed with her and her daughters and were wondering if they would be pregnant when you walked into the house. Instead the Shadow Guard were waiting for you outside her house. You fought with them, annoyed that they would attempt to arrest a prince. You killed one guard, but the rest overwhelmed you and you've been in this cell ever since.

The game starts off by allowing you to limit fetishes you do not have an interest. Even if you have a fetish enabled, it will normally be optional. You will also set your pubic hair preferences, hairy or trimmed.

Next up you set your name, Karder by default.

Combat is a rock, scissors, paper system. One of my least favorite games to play, especially if your opponent uses a truly random tactic. In addition to the rock, scissors, and paper you can choose a normal, defensive, or aggressive stance. On the plus side, it seems that the opponent attacks are scripted. Goblins, for example will always parry (rock), so if you always use slash (scissors) you will win. Normal attacks do normal damage, Aggressive attacks do double damage, Defensive attacks do one point of damage, but mitigate your opponent's incoming damage. The basic strategy is to stick with Defensive attacks until you determine your opponent's pattern. I would advise saving at the start of each fight also, as a loss ends the game. You just need to survive the fight, your hit points will be refilled the next time you need to fight. So, there is no need in playing until you win unscathed.

When you have an option that will include a scene, that information is part of the prompt selection.

There are a number of quests where you need to explore an area. In the upper right is your map, so that you can ensure you do not run around in circles. There are also city maps. In the upper right corner is an hour glass, this changes the time from day to night, for when your quest requires you to be at a location as a different time of day.

After a brief introduction, you encounter the tutorial on kingdom building. You can limit the kingdom building portion of the game by using the VN Mode in the options. Additionally, Army vs Army combat is normally automatic, but you can toggle it to a more detailed system in the options. Next you are shown what the more detailed system looks like.

I would recommend the VN Mode. I played the kingdom building mode and conquest is severely limited. You start with 30 troops and you have a troop cap of 20 troops per conquered territory, plus 10. Where this is an issue is that early on your territories are attacked by neighboring territories and you can lose obedience. The only way to increase obedience is to station 30 troops in the territory, which you can only do for one territory at a time. But, that's not where it is really an issue. The real issue is when you want to attack another territory, you really only have 10 troops to spare. In order to attack a territory you have to remove the troops from most, if not all, of your territories into the mobile military. Then after the battle you can move them back. Except for the fact you will lose troops, so you have to wait for them to be trained. The way the game is set up you have to follow a basic path as you won't have enough troops available until you conquer a territory with a smaller army.

The art varies from stills to lightly animated to fully animated, with the majority being stills or lightly animated. The quality of the animations varies from scene to scene, some are smooth, others not so much.

The Gallery is accessed from the Scene gallery option on the title menu. There are ten different sections, broken down by territory, with Interludes as the final section. There are at least nine scenes per territory, some have as many as 21. You can only view scenes that you have viewed in the game. They play the same as they did in the game.

A decent game, with dated looking art. The art is plentiful, over 200 scenes to unlock. Heavy breeding and pregnancy content.
