Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for playing the game! The response I’ve received from you has been phenomenal, and I’m excited to surprise you once again with this large new content release!

Elewar and all of its content will remain free forever, but if you’d like to support me further, I’ve set up a Patreon account.

Now lets continue with the changes:

So far there were 10 epic spell fusions in the game and players liked them so much that I've decided to increase that number to .... 20!
Now every single offensive spell has an epic fusion version with escalating visual and mechanical upgrades!
The first 15 fusions will be available as soon as you unlock them, but the hints on what conditions have to be met, will unlock for you after every successful fusion
The last 5 fusions are a little bit more special, to not spoil too much - you will have to unlock the Darkness realm first, before having a chance to get those
Added 2 new unlockable prophecies
(Chasing Nightmare, Hindering Impact)
Added 5 new base prophecies
(Chasing Hurricane, Attack from above, Bombardment from above, Blocking Impact, Investment Benefits)
Tsunami prophecy reward now instead makes magnets additionally pull in utility-lvl-ups
Firestorm prophecy is not limited to 2
Added 3 new upgrades (+5% movement speed x3), to compensate the removal of tsunami prophecy's movement speed reward
You can see what perks can only be taken a limited number of times (Max x)
Buffed Relic of Patience, lightning damage per run started from 3 -> 15
Updated the tooltip for procs to mention the procs are always of rare rarity
You may look up on your utility spells in the pause menu
Corruption tab now additionally feautures the current corruption lvl and can be focussed to see the explanation of what it does
Relic selection will not overlap with the lvl-up menus anymore
Minimap on the setting small was desynced, showing objects on wrong places until resizing once

More Controller Fixes:
Controller focus gets lost when the button that has focus is hidden/transformed. Fixed for Character Class menu, Corruption Benefits Menu, Crafting Menu for equipment
Improved Inventory menu handling for controllers, the focus does not get lost in the submenu of an item. Also you can now focus your equipped items.
You can also look through your equipped items in the pausemenu of a run
All text fields like "player name", "seed number" or "twitch channel name" now require a click to enable the virtual keyboard
Highscores focus is now more intuitive

Multiple issues/questions

1) According to the menu, damage reduction supposedly caps at 90% but I can raise it above that and several attacks stop inflicting damage, but not all. That seems to be independent from the lightning immunity relic. 2) The unlock advanced > "do not get hit for at least 20 minutes while on trial level 5" shows progress is "500732 / 501200" - what is it really counting there? That looks bugged. The neighboring "don't get hit for 30 minute" challenge properly shows "732 / 1800". 3) Speaking of don't get hi...

added a relic category to the pause menu, this will show your currently owned relics
improved controller handling even further (mostly in options menu)
pressing "start" now also pauses the game

improved controller handling for the class selection
improved controller handling for realm selection
you can now use analog stick / joy pad to move the focus in lvl-up menus
realm selection now saves the selected realm, so you can switch pages and still press continue. Additionaly below the continue button you see what realm and trial is currently selected
while in run, the end run / continue run buttons are now placed at the top of the options menu (Faster run ending with a controller)

This game is phenomenal. Look beyond the slightly weak graphics and menus and find an incredibly challenging bullet-hell skillful dodging VS-like and its FREE. I feel like I've just scratched the surface at 19hrs playtime. Game changing meta-unlocks keep on coming. The difficulty scaling is amazing - its hard but never feels unfair. Your first hour or two will feel slow and limited, changing to be faster with some early meta unlocks.

This game is a beautiful mix of bullet heaven (you become the danger) and bullet hell (everything on the screen wants to kill you). Enemy density is crazy. Bullet hell dodging is the name of the game - carefully moving your character to just barely be missed by enemy bullets is necessary. Your hitbox is your character shadow similar to how old original bullet hell schmup games would make your hitbox a pixel or two. You have the ability to become properly overpowered like any good VS-like. Builds are very much a thing as you need to properly coordinate your class with your skills and potential powerups - it's not just spamming the same upgrades every run.

I still have characters and maps to unlock. There are always meta-unlocks teasing you to try the next difficult map. It's just fantastic. Time for another run!

Does it get better?

I'm 2 hours in, 8% unlocked and every run is the same 9 spells with very little variance between runs or feeling like I'm actually making any meta progression. From what I saw on Reddit this sounded like my dream game, but I haven't hit a point where I actually feel strong or feel like I have any agency over my build/path. Maybe I'm just bad for being hardstuck in Grassland, but this feels awful....

Huge memory leak issue

Am I the only one who has this problem? I had to restart the PC because at some point it became downright unplayable. No, literally, a window popup that says something about read error and cannot open/start the game.

start screen glitch

I open the game, but it opens in windowless mode with the left side of the screen off the monitor. As is, it's unplayable for me. Any suggestions for how to fix this?
