If you wish to test upcoming content before it releases, we’re glad to offer you a way to do it with our Steam’s “Public Beta Branch”. To access it, here is a quick tutorial.

1. Backup your saves:

A prerequisite before participating, we strongly recommend you to backup your game saves. A beta version means contents and saves may not be compatible with Live one. Hence, it is a good thing to backup stored saves to retrieve them once back to Live version and avoid any corruption after testing is completed.

To do this, you need to follow the following steps:

• Find your game save folder path that looks like “\Steam\userdata\<Your Steam ID3 number>\2477340”. For example it could be “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\12345678910\2477340”.
  
• Copy “2477340” folder contents and safely store it (e.g: your local drive) as backup.
  
• Now, you can switch to the beta testing version.

2. Switch to the Public Beta Branch:

From your Steam client:

• Go to your “Library”, right-click on Expeditions.
  
• Go to "Properties".

• Go to "Betas"
  
• Enter the following line code under "Private betas" to access the Public Beta Branch branch: IBackedUpMySaves
• Click "check code".
  
• Congrats! You have access to the Public Beta Branch.
  
• Close the window, your game will update automatically.

3. Switch back to the main branch:

After beta testing is completed or you want to move back to Live version, from your Steam client:

• Go to your “Library”, right-click on Expeditions.
  
• Go to "Properties".

• Go to "Betas" and select “None” to disable access to Beta branch.

• The version of your game updates to the current Live version.
  
• Copy all files from the backup which you've done to the save folder “2477340” (see backup part).
  
• Have a nice game.

MISC

• Steam ID64 can be retrieve following the URL: https://steamproxy.net/steamhelp/en/faqs/view/2816-BE67-5B69-0FEC
  
• Save path uses “Steam ID3” nomenclature, if you wish to double-check, add your Steam ID and convert it using one of available Steam ID converters like https://steamid.io/. Your save folder number (= Steam ID3) will be after the second two dots, example: [U: 1:12345678910].

Here is the second patch for Expeditions: A MudRunner Game. You shall find the list bug fixes that this patch brings:

Trucks:

• The Scout 800 has been added as a free truck with a unique skin
  
  
• Free skins have been added for ANK, YAR and Khan Marshall
  
• Added vanilla skin for Tuz 108 which is unlocked for PROS registration
  
• Fixed the bug that allowed the sale of previously sold tyres
  
• Changed price of default wheels to 0 credits in order to prevent abuse in the in-game economy
  
• Stones no longer get stuck to the Loadstar 1700’s suspensions

Gameplay:

• Added an alternative gamepad scheme based on Snowrunner’s controls (except Nintendo Switch)
  
• Added a pop up that warns the player about resetting progress of side activities before leaving an expedition
  
• Changed controls for the Tire inflation system - to accept or exit from this window, use the 'Esc' button
  
• All outposts have been given a vehicle landing limit of 4 (previously it was 2)
  
• The bug making cars fall into the rock while using the Jack-Screw has been fixed
  
• Currency is awarded for selling non-quest items from inventory
  
• The fake zone in the expedition “A Day in the Life” now displays correctly
  
• It is now possible to complete the quest “Air Delivery”
  
• Controls in the Tutorial work properly after skipping the Echo sounder stage
  
• The Drone Camera’s signal changes depending on the currently used specialist
  
• Frame modules are saved after re-entering the game
  
• Fixed the Metal detector that indicated an non-existent upgrade zones

UI:

• The Map automatically focuses on an active truck right after being opened
  
• A Time skip button has been added to the Map
  
• The icon is displayed for Eastern outpost on Elusive Fauna map
  
• The Summary window shows prices of all item for sale before leaving expeditions
  
• The icons of the base modules are now centered

Localizations:

• Added descriptions for modules in the Modules window
  
• Added Czech localization on PROS screens in the Main Menu
  
• Fixed the descriptions of the “Altar” quest

Sounds:

• Improved honk sounds for trucks Tuz 16, Tatra Force, Step 310E, Loadstar 1700, Don 71
  
• Improved sounds of sliders and clicks in the Photomode
  
• The sounds when the water and a truck interact have been adjusted

Mod support:

• The navigation buttons work correctly when there are no mods available in the Mod browser
