Feature Update

4 May

Our first major feature addition since the release is now available in version 0.130r. We chose this feature to add some more single player options and give some goals / rewards (achievements) for taking down each AI.

To celebrate this we'll be giving a week long discount from the 6th May.

The full update contains:-

Feature Beat the Bots

Leaderboard per AI strategy to compete for most effective battle. Scoring is based on victory, skill, time and difficulty
35 acheivements to be gained for beating each AI strategy at different diffuculty settings.

Minor fixes and Game play changes

Adjusted Challenge mode selection to be with the menu options to make it more obvious for selecting the mode. This also now fits in with the new Beat the Bots menu that had more match options.
Game end time reduced from 15 to 5 seconds when players surrender. We have reduced this as accepting defeat doesn't need check for potential mutual destruction and saves time on the players.
Fixed a display glitch when the auto launch button was toggled. No longer updates the queues on toggle.

Content Update

After several updates from the playtest / launch we thought it was about time we gave an update of the more notable changes and future plans. We have also updated the store page with latest screenshots.

Features / General improvements

Added 6 PVE Challenge modes with leaderboards
Added AI to matchmaking ensuring match availability. Its difficulty increases with you wins
Added voice to the tutorial with added details

UI Improvements (player feedback)

Add highlights to affordable upgrades and indicate when there is a lack of resource for launching
Added mini silo queues to the main control panel to show the full launch salvo
Increase size of main panel control for VR. Making it easier to select and make more use of the available space in VR
Double click to replace missiles queued on mass
Restructued the main menu with clearer options
Several tool tip improvements
Improved audio menu control options and muteable siren option

Our next main update we intend to add AI Challenge matches so you can earn achievements for beating each AI strategy at various difficulties.

Improvements

Added voice audio to the tutorial and updated text to provide additional info for new players.
Reduced the number of meteors during the event in the tutorial to make it less deadly.

Bug Fixes

Fixed highlights in tutorial for missile upgrades as the affordable highlights had blocked them.
Fixed AI abilility to make earlier than scheduled upgrades when it is affordable, this is only enabled after the first 5 minutes of the match.
