Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate this game since I began to play it.

As a fan of the original story and the radio adaptation, I was shocked to find that this game, despite its input from original author Harlan Ellison, completely misunderstands what made the other versions so terrifying in its existential torture. While the original story was very edgy in service of its suffering, this game veers into very pointless horrors that only serve to make AM look like a righteous being that chose only to torture "bad people," which removes the horror of "this could be you" that previous versions had. Not to mention, it makes Ellen's story line all that more misogynistic.

If you're a fan of the original story, I recommend against this game. If you aren't? Maybe give it a read or a listen sometime. I only played as long as I did so that I could get The Hate Monologue emblazoned on my profile page, because ultimately I do still love the art style of this game.

Very interesting story. This is a game based on a book from 1967.
The ideas and concepts have aged very well. The story and characters, are fun and unique.
I wish that some studio would remaster the game, or perhaps make a movie of some sort.
I love this story.
