This fixed my toddler-like attention span. Definitely one of the most interesting stories; I can't believe I'm about to say this, but thank you Tik Tok.

Great title. A point and click sci-fi horror game where you play five individuals put through torturous scenarios by a sadistic AI. The game suffers from the issue a lot of early point and click adventure games have which is stupidly difficult puzzles that require a lot of free time and trial and error, or just following a walkthrough guide. This one even moreso than others due to the surreal scenario and confusing writing. Normally I'll suck it up and turn to a walkthrough if I have to, but the scenarios were so baffling and weird that I couldn't get invested in the game at all.

Like a LucasArts game made in the center of hell.

If you're a fan of pulp sci-fi, you already know Harlan Ellison. If you don't, you may have heard of Terminator, Star Trek, or a number of successful ventures he wrote for or influenced. I recommend his short stories and this game is very much like them. Best of all... the game is narrated by the late Mr. Ellison himself. You get the author's voice with his prose and he's really good at it.

The game open with 5 stories to choose from each begins with a small area restricted by difficult puzzles. The art and atmosphere match the brilliance of the writing. I'm also a sucker for a game where the story and the mechanics mesh seamlessly (think of the first time you played AC1, for instance), and here the oppressiveness of being stuck in a computer program from hell is so wonderfully immersive in a game designed for a 486.

Big recommend for this genre.

Literally one of the best stories about the dangers of AI EVER.
