Starting game bug in co-op

Trying to play the game with my partner and upon starting a new game and opening prologue and drawing a misfortune I'm given *zero* option to start the game. No dialogue box appears on my screen to click to continue after. This happened three or four times in a row and no idea how it happened or why it happens....

Change list

Mechanics and balance

Starting health for all heroes increased to 4. This allows 1 damage to not be immediately answered without severe punishment.
Misfortunes may now contain Injury (choice) effects. A hero must volunteer to take the damage. With the automated ally, the human player gets to pick between them.

Misfortunes

12 new Misfortunes, adjustments and balance for many existing ones
Also, rewritten ALL Misfortunes, so try reading them again (I know you stopped!)

Opportunities

Opportunities now have full art!
They are also updated for balance and flavor text rewritten

Interface

Improved Lobby, making it clearer how to start a new match or join an existing one
New camp action UI polished
Added a few new tutorial-y alerts: Over-blessed, Choice Misfortunes

Preparation and Spite

Preparation no longer has increased health (since it is increased by default), now has starting inspiration, costs adjusted to add to 100.
Spite levels swapped and replaced to create smoother, more interesting scaling.

Bug fixes

Fixed some bugs causing soft-locks in multiplayer
Fixed many visual issues

ETA on 3-4 player?

Me and a couple friends picked this up to try it in 3-player, only to realize that it's only 2 player right now. We don't want to refund it, and were hoping to get some info on when the multiplayer update is planned. Hoping a dev might provide some clarity....

A deceptively difficult table top that will leave scrambling for most of the game. The UI is very well polished and the artwork is gorgeous.

Cool concept, flawed rules

"You cannot communicate about these cards" is not an enforceable or enjoyable rule. People play games together to be together and work together. If you try to build your balance around people hiding information from their allies, you're working against your players enjoyment, and you're basically saying "hey all you have to do to have an advantage here is break the unenforceable rule." Please, please please please, do not try to balance your challenges around this concept. It is never enjoyable in practi...

Played the demo, but not clear on structure for full game?

Played the tutorial, then the demo in coop. It was fine, but how is the full game structured? Are you just playing through a narrative campaign, a series of expeditions? Are there roguelite elements? Permanent progression? Levelling up over time? Or is it just the same set of skills and spells pitted against a series of encounters? Not my usual kind of game, but interesting, and would like to know more....

Early Access Review

Fantastic co-op game with strong core gameplay mechanics. Utilises non-traditional co-op comms in an effective way to create additional challenge. This is not for everyone, but it doesn't have to be. Fans of tabletop and deck-based and/or resource games should definitely take a look. Gameplay will be improved with increased variability and updates in the future.

At the current price, I feel the game is well worth its value. An active developer gives this game great potential to be even better than it already is. Would recommend!
