WHAT TO EXPECT

We hope that the players who join it can be left with a blend of emotional tension and quiet nostalgia. The harshness of exile, survival, and difficult choices creates a strong sense of weight and urgency, balanced by moments of calm exploration, thoughtful dialogue, and a slow, deliberate progression reminiscent of classic RPGs.

As bonds form with companions and the story unfolds, players may feel echoes of older, character-driven adventures—reimagined within a darker, more mature setting. By reintroducing key elements from classic role-playing games, the experience is designed to linger beyond the screen, evoking reflection and a subtle longing for the genre’s golden age. At the same time, players are encouraged to feel deeply intrigued by the unfolding of the protagonist’s journey, the narrative mysteries, and the evolving relationship system with NPCs, making each connection and choice an integral part of the adventure.

Changes to the DASH and JUMP commands based on player feedback; keybinding now works properly for those who want to rebind controls.
Adjusted difficulty scaling in the waves of the combat simulation capsule.

The scope of the Demo is practically closed. Any further updates will focus on fixes and performance improvements.
A Roadmap for Early Access has been created and is available on the Steam page. There you can see everything that’s coming and follow player suggestions that are being implemented.

🎮 Improvements and Fixes Implemented in the Demo

Changes to the tutorial system to make the Combat Simulation POD Arena easier to understand.
Added a combat Poacher in the village with animations carrying feed sacks.
Variants of combat Poachers (Poacher with spear and sword).
New shop/crafting system that changes according to your reputation.
Fixed a dialogue camera issue that didn’t cover the whole screen.
Changes to the button for holstering the weapon on the gamepad.
Fix for diagonal dashing.
Improved NPC LOD settings (optimization).
Damage buff for FatMaxper (Demo Boss).
Nerf to FatMaxper’s animations, adding a larger interval between abilities to create windows of opportunity.
Fixes to FatMaxper’s abilities — his elemental attacks now apply slow on hit.
Removal of the counter/parry system (it will be reworked for the first update after launch).
Fix to gauntlet and shield — their abilities now apply debuffs to enemies.
Improved Skill menu with GIFs showing previews of abilities.
Improved Quest Menu, now with tracking images for quests.
In Severino’s Quest 1, the requirement to pick up loot inside the workshop has been removed.
Improved scenery in Edgar’s training arena.

📢 Final Notes

This is still a work-in-progress version. We are adjusting multiple systems and mechanics, so compatibility issues with save files between updates may occur.
If you encounter difficulties loading your progress, we recommend starting a new game and replacing your previous save.

Enemy Wave Combat Simulator Pod – New Features and Fixes

✨ Highlights

New Combat Simulation Capsule: Right at the start of the game, you can now experience what it feels like to play with a full armor set and all crystals at Maximum Tier. The capsule is a clandestine Augmented Reality device, created so that exiles could train, increase their survival chances, and maybe one day challenge their oppressors on fairer grounds.
In this mode, sequential waves of enemies are spawned, and the challenge is to see how long you can survive.
📍 How to access: A quest has been added right after the training with Edgar.

✨ Next Steps for the Demo

The Demo’s scope is practically closed. Upcoming updates will focus on improvements and increasing the density of the experience.
One system still planned for the Demo is the relationship system with one of the village gangs, the “Poachers”, who control the village’s food supply. They will have routines tied to this lore, can be attacked, and will retaliate, directly impacting your social relationship with the gang.

🛠️ New Systems Already Implemented in the Demo

Creation of soldiers from the Royal Gomo of Omahum, positioned at the POD landing zone to guard the capsule.
Addition of loot crates scattered throughout the world, which can be opened either by force or with specific codes.
Addition of a capsule/pod at the POD landing zone.

🎮 Improvements Implemented in the Demo

Reestablished the footstep sound system.
Improved password box UI.
Adjusted the axe position when sheathed.
Improved NPC routines and dialogues.
Remote Play fixes and improvements.
Dungeon elevator now descends after defeating FatMaxper.
Added new NPC routine: they now guard the warehouse and patrol near the food sacks around the Heliport.
Adjusted snow color for consistency.
Added some dynamic shadows.
Modified the walls of Druvir’s greenhouse.

👉 This update introduces the Combat Simulation Capsule, new world systems, technical improvements, and gameplay adjustments, delivering more immersion, progression, and variety to the Demo experience.

Is the character customisable or the model from the screenshots is only one available? Are the keyboard and mouse controls rebindable? Are 5-button mice supported? How does the game save progress? Dark Souls-style frequent autosaves, checkpoints, or full manual saving?...

Demo - can't exit town after dying outside?

I made it outside and was collecting mushrooms when two boars killed me. At restart there doesn't seem to be any way to exit and the guy at the door doesn't have any options. Am I missing something else? I'm mainly interested to see how the NPC party system works. Is that a part of the demo?...

How is this even a game?

If you can get past all the ai voice acting and the broken gameplay, you will eventually get to a passworded door. Its very easy to find slopes to clip through and just run through the map. It's very small and there is a bunch of assets and monsters just hovering above the ground. How can you even call this a demo? What is it supposed to represent? A very very early alpha build?...
