Finding This Too Difficult - Any Advice

I've not played any AC games before but I picked this one up after reading about Skull and Bones and seeing so many people saying that Black Flag was better. I really like the idea of a pirate game so I bought it. I'd be the first to admit that my gaming ability is average, but on the other hand I can usually make my way though 1st player games, my most recent being Atomic Heart and Mass Effect Legendary (1, 2 and 3). Was gonna write a beautiful and poetic review for this game as I have a couple hundred hours easy on the Xbox 360. However, That being said the game on PC is broken, A unique and amazing thing called "Kenway's Fleet" in game allows you to use captured ships to unlock unique rewards. It dosen't work on PC anymore. YOU CANNOT GET 100% IN THIS GAME ANYMORE. The sad truth is if you buy this game you are buying a broken game that cant truly be finished. Stuck in Mainmission (maybe Kenways fleet)

I wanted to continue playing the main mission but an exclamation mark is shown on the map and when I go into the ship it doesn't show me what to do. I think its Kenway's fleet because it doesn't load for me. Does anyone have a solution?
