Mathematic management froggy pixel perfection. I picked up this game and then couldn't put it down until I finished it.

The music is peaceful and has the vibe of old-school minecraft, with the constant ribbits of little frogs to keep you company. The UI is clean and easy to navigate, which is exactly what you want in a management sim.

The math puzzles were challenging and kept me engaged without getting frustrating, though I did end up keeping quite a few notes around to track my progress. If you're feeling stumped, there are hints in the journal so you never truly felt stuck, and the flavor text for all of the frogs, bugs, and mushrooms are both informative and full of quirky charm! The story was also a delightful surprise. It was interesting and quite compelling for a game about frog breeding and collecting, told through notes found around and NPC interactions.

Be prepared for a LOT of backtracking, and 100%(+?) encyclopedia collection was a little bit of a grind, but the sweet sweet song of frog calls and cute graphics kept it a pleasant and enjoyable experience. 10/10 would absolutely frog again.

After playing Apico, I was a little apprehensive if Mudborne would be something even better.
But I was wrong. It's more, better, and more polished!
I especially loved the fact that the compendium is actually an essential guide that accompanies the player throughout the game and not just a set of tips, like a tutorial, like it was in Apico.
I can't wait to see what the developers come up with next!

Addicting but chill game about some weird little frog guys.
I expected to play this for a bit, maybe finish the story. But here I am 50 hours later with the game 100% complete.
