I can't make medicine because I don't have plague petals. Will this affect my ability to collect them? I accidentally sold the plague petals to the store and went to the Damp Cave to get the plague petals, but there were no creeper plant monsters.

I can't find it for the life of me. I am assuming its in the damp cave considering the hint and i see a chest but i cant get to it at all.
