An incredible, early 90s hit that I had the pleasure of playing at a very young age. This I believe was the third game of the Wolfenstein series and the first release on Windows in 1992. Prior to this, id Software purchased the rights to the series from Apogee Software, who later converted the game from action stealth to first-person shooter.

For those unaccustomed to the title, Wolfenstein 3D helped popularise the first-person genre on PC and is often cited as the progenitor of the modern first-person shooter genre. It’s one of the most influential games of all time.

Due to its popularity, they did release an official standalone expansion of (and prequel to) Wolfenstein 3D named Spear of Destiny, which was available on Steam until a couple of years ago when they delisted it. You can still find the page however, app 9000. The DOS version is available via Abandonware.
