Hello i want to know if it's useful to play to DS (rog so the basic map) when u have the DST who is the same thing but with a lot of aditional content? If yes what is the reason?

I haven't played this game in like 5 years or something. I was thinking of playing it again and saw there are 2 DLCs now, Hamlet and Shipwrecked. I was wondering, how much was added in those 2 DLCs? Are they just a little extra content, or do they really expand on the base game and make it a much better experience by having them?...
