Attempts to Open Steam VR

When I enter room 244 and enter the bathroom, the game tries to open Steam VR and the game crashes. Before restarting app verified validity of the files, 100%, started game and same error at same room (244) in the bathroom. Anyone else experienced this error and if so how did you get around it? I'm thinking it may be a graphics setting somewhere maybe...

AMAZING! It's so good to find a game that actually keeps you on your toes without cheap jump scares! i totally recommend this game, I got it on sale but its worth full price even, I played it on my channel
