End of this trilogy was exhausting.

Part of it was absolutely not the game’s fault and just some sort of franchise fatigue – Assassin’s creed formula does not gels with marathons all that well. Doing the same routine for a third time in a row is not super entertaining to say the least. The problem is - you sorta kinda have to play them one after the other, trilogy and all that. You either give yourself Assassin’s creed burnout or you are gonna experience who are all those people problem, pick your poison.

But that’s not all.

The story of Revelations is so dull and lifeless, you guys. It’s literally Ezio and Some Guys: the game. All characters that you sorta liked in the first two games? Forget about them, they are not here. Instead we have the most wooden supporting cast known to men. I could not for the life of me remember a single name. Okay, I remembered Sofia, her romance scenes with Ezio is the only thing that kept me barely awake and even they do juts the barest of minimum.

Also, Ezio is just hilariously evil in this. There are two Spec Ops the Line worthy scenes in here and the game just shrugs them off with zero self-reflection.

Oh, we also have the Revelations parts with Altair and they are as lifeless as the rest of it. I really hope that you played AC Bloodlines on PSP and read some books; otherwise all emotional context of this drama is straight up missing in action.

You know what, I’ll rip the band-aid off – this trilogy has no business being the trilogy. There is the material for one really good game in here. Cut all the endless filler off, put Christina scenes where they should be, cut those annoying meaningless codex pages and put Altair flashbacks from this game instead of them – and it maybe would be an amazing adventure, who knows.

But this is the world of what ifs, in reality the whole thing is just tiresome.

If this trilogy is the best this series has to offer – then I’m utterly unimpressed, I’m sorry.

I would say its perfect ending for Ezio games. Story seems bit shorter but full of actions, epic moments, especially once you unlock arrow storm.

Fine if you like brotherhood but very confusing with its added mechanics.

Before I begin, I genuinely loved revelations. It's the only game of the Ezio trilogy that I enjoyed. I am not recommending it purely because I hate ubisoft.

I absolutely loved Revelations. The change of scene from Italy and the new perspective it brought to Ezio's character was a breath of fresh air. It was actually nice to see him endure struggle, hardships, for him to overcome them and succeed. Rather than his consistent ability to overcome challenges without a blink of the eye in previous titles. His character seemed much more humbled and enjoyable. The story was interesting, but nothing absolutely mind-blowing. The Altair aspects were probably what captured my interest the most, though exploring Constantinople was extremely fun. Combat was as you'd expect for an AC title. Though various features were introduced, which allowed for variety, but older features were improved upon. Which I feel like was handled much than Brotherhood. I think this title approached a philosophical argument missing in the previous Ezio titles. Though, I think they handled Ezio's internal crisis a bit poorly. Additionally, there seemed to be improvements and loss in quality for the recruitment system.

For me, Revelations was a great improvement from the last few games in many ways. In a way, I feel like AC revelations was the game Mirage tried to be.

I was a little bit sad when the game finished, as I realised this is the last of Ezio trilogy. A very nice game, however the addition of so many types of bombs only confuses the player.
The story was a 8.5/10 (I reserve 10/10 only for AC:2 and AC:1), with a lost of nice immersions in the story of Altair, offering a little bit of backstory to its iconic character. The graphics are really good for a game made in late 2011, the mechanics looks a little bit more smoother than its predecessors.

In conclusion, a very good game, I really enjoyed the end of Ezio Auditore!
